The doctor is giving the lab results and he says "peak troponin of 199." I'm thinking he means 1.99. The patient did have catheterization and was admitted to the coronary care unit. Any ideas? ...
Of transcribing/editing a job goes through before making it back to the client? For example, does it go overseas first and then back to us and we fix what they left behind? Or do we get the job first? Who does the audits...an actual human or is it ran through some program first?
I think a lot of what mm does is hidden from us. Would not surprise me. ...
I believe the dictator is saying "this got his TRUS levels to the therapeutic range." Does this make sense if TRUS stands for transrectal ultrasound? ...
In all my years as a medical transcriptionist, I have never seen levels as low as these. I went back and listened several times and I still can't believe what I'm hearing. Have any of you every heard of levels this low:
Cholesterol was 90, triglycerides 103. HDL 6, LDL of 64. ...
I have been encouraged time and again to test for Tier level II. Yes, I am Tier 1 and like my client and the work so want to stay here, but took a huge cut in pay and now my super says work will be shifting and I may not have work available. Okay, so I took the Tier level II test TWICE--the first time with a bad attitude, but the second time I really took my time and still did not pass (scored 100% on the multiple choice and 96% on the transcription test)...I have been transcrib ...

I'm newish and I have NEVER seen a report of how much work there is and the DEP thing doesn't work when I try it (it says contact my supervisor for permission). Is my CCM supposed to send out a report of available work? Does anyone know this for sure? I d ...
Patient has HIV and is status post acute kidney injury:
He has had no evidence for cryoglobulinemia or hypocomplementemia. It will be interesting to see what his protein has done with improvement in his HIV parameters. As per previous notes, I have not biopsied him. Therefore, I do not know whether he has a high s/l VAN, high s/l VIC, or whether this is diabetic related kidney disease. However, it would not change his management at this time. ...
I just QAd an ILP report that I was only supposed to fill in the blanks, but I saw a major error near the blank, so I did a 100% review. I found 32 errors, 17 of them were critical with missing phrases, words, and just plain making up what they thought they heard. I checked the travel details of the report and it went through 2 levels of ILP QA before it got to me! Why are we losing our jobs to them? Oh, yeah, the suits make more money. Never mind the patient with " ...
