Of transcribing/editing a job goes through before making it back to the client? For example, does it go overseas first and then back to us and we fix what they left behind? Or do we get the job first? Who does the audits...an actual human or is it ran through some program first?
I think a lot of what mm does is hidden from us. Would not surprise me. ...
I believe the dictator is saying "this got his TRUS levels to the therapeutic range." Does this make sense if TRUS stands for transrectal ultrasound? ...
In all my years as a medical transcriptionist, I have never seen levels as low as these. I went back and listened several times and I still can't believe what I'm hearing. Have any of you every heard of levels this low:
Cholesterol was 90, triglycerides 103. HDL 6, LDL of 64. ...
I have been encouraged time and again to test for Tier level II. Yes, I am Tier 1 and like my client and the work so want to stay here, but took a huge cut in pay and now my super says work will be shifting and I may not have work available. Okay, so I took the Tier level II test TWICE--the first time with a bad attitude, but the second time I really took my time and still did not pass (scored 100% on the multiple choice and 96% on the transcription test)...I have been transcrib ...
I've seen something mentioned on here about putting DEP after your username to check how much work there is in the system, and something about someone sending out reports of how much work there is... probably the CCM I guess. I'm newish and I have NEVER seen a report of how much work there is and the DEP thing doesn't work when I try it (it says contact my supervisor for permission). Is my CCM supposed to send out a report of available work? Does anyone know this for sure? I d ...
Patient has HIV and is status post acute kidney injury:
He has had no evidence for cryoglobulinemia or hypocomplementemia. It will be interesting to see what his protein has done with improvement in his HIV parameters. As per previous notes, I have not biopsied him. Therefore, I do not know whether he has a high s/l VAN, high s/l VIC, or whether this is diabetic related kidney disease. However, it would not change his management at this time. ...
I just QAd an ILP report that I was only supposed to fill in the blanks, but I saw a major error near the blank, so I did a 100% review. I found 32 errors, 17 of them were critical with missing phrases, words, and just plain making up what they thought they heard. I checked the travel details of the report and it went through 2 levels of ILP QA before it got to me! Why are we losing our jobs to them? Oh, yeah, the suits make more money. Never mind the patient with " ...
Hi, eveyrone. I just started as an MT in Michigan, and I am going to be working from home fairly soon. I am moving back to New York for my music degree and transcribing in my free time. Problem: I have a very old laptop that is starting to fall apart. The keys don't always work and, although it is my baby, I can not keep using it for transcriptions. My boss had said he heard that we could write off a new laptop as an expense (much as flight attendants can write off their own laptops and mak ...
The doctor says, " CK of fifty-nine-three-nine-four".
59,394?
59.394?
59-394?
59/394?
50, 93, 94?
Thanks in advance for any and all enlightenment you can bestow upon me. My brain is a fried mess - time for a break! ...
Has anyone heard of or worked for this transcription company? If so, what are your thoughts and more specifically on average how many billable monthly lines are available at this transcription company? Is the work steady or sporadic? Thanks in advance for your comments. ...
Does anyone know if there is a new rule in MQ land about never writing out the date, always making it numbers only? I get back reports every once in a while with all the written dates crossed out and replaced with numbers yet the CP does not specify either way. So, when a doctor states March 3, 2010..that is how I type it, if he states 03/03/2010, that is how I type it. I am going to complain to my manager about this but I was wondering maybe I missed a new rule. Tha ...
The doctor is dictating a white count number and he distinctly says "Thirty-eight thousand point 4." (The patient has CLL). How would you write this number? My guess is 38,000.4 ...
What is the prope way to type this out:
five-tenths of a cc.
I have been typing 0.5 cc, but I am thinking maybe it should be 0.05 cc. Please help set me straight! Thanks! ...
ASR: tachy fell axis
I am wiping the tears from my eyes on this one. What a stupid program. I swear it is written by the Indians. I had a wonderful English-speaking clear-as-day doctor yesterday, first name of Daniel, and the ASR did not get 75% of his dictation. It was just words and gibberish. It was a crying shame. That could have been a helpful tool in that instance. It should have been able to transcribe him perfectly and editing should have ...
In some sentances they say 5 out of 5 to muscle testing, sometimes 5 minus out of 5, or 4 plus out of 5. I am not allowed to use the + or - sign. I've got the 5/5, but is it correct to put 5 minus/5 or just type out 5 minus out of 5. ...
I'm drawing a complete blank. Is the proper way 3/4 cm, or three quarters cm, or 0.75 cm? Nothing in Google is helping me figure this out. It's throwing me math equasions to do and now I'm just confused. Any help is appreciated. ...
