On CAT scan of head, Dr. very clearly dictates there is evidence of a "macunar" infarct in the right basal ganglia. She also very clearly spells M-A-C-U-N-A-R. I've never heard this before and can't locate to verify it. Can anyone help? Thanks so much! ...

I had transcribed, under Family History: "The patient has 3 brothers, all deceased."
QC/QA (don't really know or care about he difference btn QC and QA) corrected it to:
"The patient has 3 brothers, all diseased." Now, I recall hearing that the dictator DID really seem to say DISEASED, complete with ...
Patient has had panniculectomy in the past and has a well-healed scar except for some shininess to it and a tendency for one small area to have superficial dehiscence with bleeding if pressure placed.
The doc clearly says, "...recommended having the patient put s/l *peri-dressing* over his..." and later "...have obtained several of these dressings for the patient."
