WAV & 64 bit computer & Windows 7 - rsnation

I'm having an awful time with my WAVpedal since getting a spanking new 64 bit computer running Windows 7. The folks where I got my software insist that it's not a compatibility issue but I'm not so sure. I'm finding that I'm not able to play certain types of voice files, including some, but not all, MP3's. Seems to depend on the bit speed, not that I have any idea what that means. I've been going back and forth with them for weeks now and my job is on the line. My boss is understandably hesitant to send me voice files that I might not be able to play.

Anyone out there with a 64 bit computer (I think that's the trouble more than Windows 7) having any trouble or success with WAVpedal?

used Bayscribe. I also have windows 7, 64 bit. Sorry I really don't know the different kinds of pedals.

Between these 3 sites, you might have some sort of answer.

By the way, I just recently "upgraded" to WAVPedal 7 myself with Windows 7 64-bit but have not yet gone "live" with the new computer. I've been using the XP computer until I can get some basic issues about Windows 7 ironed out.

I did have a chance to email the WAVPedal folks to see if version 7 will play .DS2 files. Short answer is no...not unless you pay them another $30 and call them to have another file sent to you by them. I also DETEST the verification/serial number process they use.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I haven't used these boards much because I've been pretty problem free. Making up for it now. Please let me know how it goes for you though I'm seeing other people having no problem. I'm not thrilled with the WAVpedal folk right now either!

everything updates to the hilt and I am finding my typing screen has a lag to it. I have tons of ram, etc etc and I wonder if Norton is playing a roll. It isnt a terrible lag but when you type very fast it will locked for a few seconds. It isnt like waiting on words to appear it is more a lock type lag if you type too fast. I have read other posts on this site with respect to this subject but just wondering if anyone using Windows 7 is able to use DQS 6.1 64-bit OS with it. Every machine you purchase comes preloaded with it and I want to buy a new machine but if Windows 7 64-bit doesn't work properly, I won't even bother yet. Can maybe someone answer my question. I purchased a new computer last year with the new Windows 7 home premium operating system. I received a new computer from the Q which I am sure you all know has windows 7 but how do you maximize a screen that was minimized? In XP I had always had the teamwork screen minimized and readily seen on the taskbar so all I had to do was click on it and it brought up teamwork ready to be clilicked on to sign me in for my shift after I had a job downloaded but when I minimize the teamwork window in windows 7 it disappears from the screen and I have to click on the icon on the deskt ...

Just an FYI to anyone thinking of purchasing a laptop, I saw where previously it was stated that Windows 7 programs should work with Windows 8. That's not true with DQS 7.1.
