windows 7 help - Maltesemom

I received a new computer from the Q which I am sure you all know has windows 7 but how do you maximize a screen that was minimized? In XP I had always had the teamwork screen minimized and readily seen on the taskbar so all I had to do was click on it and it brought up teamwork ready to be clilicked on to sign me in for my shift after I had a job downloaded but when I minimize the teamwork window in windows 7 it disappears from the screen and I have to click on the icon on the desktop as though I had never opened it What is the trick to just minimizing it and finding it on the screen? This is crazzzy.

If you minimize Teamwork and then you go to transcribe, you can get back to Teamwork by minimizing DocQScribe and then go to the bottom of your desktop and where the Internet icon is, run your mouse across it and it will show up. Then all you have to do is click on it and it comes back up. If you want to add Teamwork to your taskbar: Once you're on the Internet look at the top left-hand corner and there is a star with a green arrow across it. Click on that and it will add whatever you are looking at to your taskbar. I hope that helps.

What good does it do to add anything to the taskbar? You still have to go to the internet icon, open that up to get to task bar. Might as well just click on teamwork on the bottom icon and save a click.

but for some strange reason the screens would not stay still enough for me to click on....must have been moving the mouse in the wrong area. Thanks again!!

all I see are the back and forward arrows that were always there on top.

Alt+tab will allow you to "toggle" between open windows. Ctrl+tab allows you to toggle between open tabs.

I was doing that the first day I had the new computer and it would not work and then the next few times it did. Maybe there is something going on with a setting somewhere.

I have read other posts on this site with respect to this subject but just wondering if anyone using Windows 7 is able to use DQS 6.1 64-bit OS with it. Every machine you purchase comes preloaded with it and I want to buy a new machine but if Windows 7 64-bit doesn't work properly, I won't even bother yet. I heard from support that is unsure right now as they are still working on other things, i.e., problems with 6.1. Thanks for your input! ...

Can maybe someone answer my question. I purchased a new computer last year with the new Windows 7 home premium operating system. For the Internet Explorer, I have two icons, one on my desktop that strictly says 64-bit, plus there is an IE icon at the bottom of my toolbar that uses 32-bit for some sites (I think because Adobe Flash Player is not compatible with 64-bit OS, is what I was told by an HP tech person). Just an FYI to anyone thinking of purchasing a laptop, I saw where previously it was stated that Windows 7 programs should work with Windows 8. That's not true with DQS 7.1. I recently got a new computer that has Windows 8.1. I use Vitera Intergy transcription writer to do my work. I cannot get my transcription writer to work with 8.1 and keep getting a runtime error 4605. Luckily, I still have my old system to work on but I really want to get the new system up and running.
