Good morning all! I am trying to move an entry in Instant Text and I am getting this message - Moving included entries is not allowed. To move entries of an included glossary, first open it into the Glossary Viewer. Any ideas??? Thanks, Cathy

is that you have more than 1 glossary included in your "main" glossary. For example, I have an HSpace glossary that includes several of the frequently used glossaries that came preloaded on InstantText, like medwords and some others I can't even remember now. If something is in the medwords glossary that I want to change, I can't do it through HSpace. I have to go into medwords. Hope that helps!

Alt+/ to open up your options. Alt+G, then "open" to see all of your glossaries. If you know the one containing the entry that needs to be changed, you can open it and edit the entry from there. If not, you can right click on your main glossary, then choose view, and from that you should be able to find the "problem child" and see what glossary it's in.

Honestly, this is so much work I usually just make a new entry and ignore the problem child.

You can click on link below to read more about moving glossary entries within a glossary.
All depends on your sorting options under Options/Advisories
If you combine glossaries, the entries come up in the order in which your glossaries appear in the Edit Includes window.
To find out which glossary an entry comes from, right-click on it in the Phrase advisory. This will highlight the entry in the Glossary Viewer, and the Viewer's status bar tells you the name of the glossary it belongs to. Click on this glossary name to open it in the Viewer, and now you can use the Move button for this entry.
You can also transfer this entry to your main glossary by right-clicking on the entry in the Viewer and clicking on Transfer, then select your main glossary. In your main glossary you can then move it further up.

I downloaded the trial version of Instant Text and used the Importer to import my Bayscribe expander entries through Text File. Either this was the wrong format to use or I did something else wrong because the entries are not expanding. I was able to get the abbvs.glo file to show up in the glossary entries. the new computer is vista with word 2007. the old computer ran XP with word 2000. i have backed the auto correct entries up on a jump drive but cant figure out how to install in word 2007, any ideas? also need to download a new spell checker or figure out how to get the old one from word 2000, as I cant find the CD where I orginally installed stedmans. Anyone have any good websites for Instant text tutorial or questions? I did read through productivity talk and did find what I needed. I have not used this software in years. I use autotext, but I would like to use the line counting software that comes wtih IT. I am trying to figure out a short cut to copying text, right clicking on IT , clipboard statistics, and logging each note. Any thoughts on how to do this with keystrokes and NOT the mouse? Just wondered about what you all think is the best expander to use with VR. I used to use Shorthand up to a couple of years ago and now work with Instant Text. It seems to me that Shorthand is very very popular with the VR crowd. Does anyone use Instant Text successfully with VR? The version of IT I have (V Pro) does not have the recording functions and the ability to use shortcuts (like Alt+ and Control+) like Shorthand does. I am looking for Instant Text users who may be able to get me headed in the right direction in regards to compilations. I have been using Instant Text for quite a while now, only adding things on the fly, or using the enrich feature. I do not understand the compilation feature it seems. Does anyone use Instant Text with Probity's Integra platform? I just downloaded IT and am having a lot of difficulty using it. First, I had to set it to be on the right side of the screen because otherwise the time marker disappeared. Not a big deal though.
