HELP! Instant Text with eScription VR and the ALT+. - - It pulls up the link feature ARGH

This is the stroke to insert a period and space and cap for the new sentence but it is also the IT stroke for linking. How do I get rid of this link combo so I can actually be productive on my EditScrpt on eScription?

We were told that if we want to use IT then we can't use the punctuation macros with ES. You have to choose one or the other. I just fix the punctuation myself and don't use those macros; I'd rather use my IT.

Here's a trick. Create a command entry for Alt+. s/m - IT fan

When you key your short form, IT sends the Alt+. directly to the application and doesn't use the IT filter. Add the trailing underscore in your entry so IT won't space after the expansion.

I have not put it into app yet, but I did the command entry and hoping it works. I cant live without IT after 2 years.

Ill post if it works or not when I get a chance to try it out.

When your program uses the same keyboard shortcut as Instant Text, the work-around is to use the Command keys.

To create the Command Entry, open the Add Entry window and click on the Command button and then press the Alt. key combination and then add a trailing underscore (which is the _ key) at the end. The trailing underscore tells IT not to add a space after the expansion.Your entry should look like this:
{command}{Alt.}_

I recently started working with EditScript (Escription) and I am using my Instant Text with it. The only problem I have found so far is that when I have to do straight typing in EditScript, and I get to the bottom of the typing screen, the screen doesn't scroll -- I have to stop and use the side bar to move the text up so I can see what I'm typing. Anyone have any good websites for Instant text tutorial or questions? I did read through productivity talk and did find what I needed. I have not used this software in years. I use autotext, but I would like to use the line counting software that comes wtih IT. I am trying to figure out a short cut to copying text, right clicking on IT , clipboard statistics, and logging each note. Any thoughts on how to do this with keystrokes and NOT the mouse? Just wondered about what you all think is the best expander to use with VR. I used to use Shorthand up to a couple of years ago and now work with Instant Text. It seems to me that Shorthand is very very popular with the VR crowd. Does anyone use Instant Text successfully with VR? The version of IT I have (V Pro) does not have the recording functions and the ability to use shortcuts (like Alt+ and Control+) like Shorthand does. I am looking for Instant Text users who may be able to get me headed in the right direction in regards to compilations. Does anyone use Instant Text with Probity's Integra platform? I just downloaded IT and am having a lot of difficulty using it. First, I had to set it to be on the right side of the screen because otherwise the time marker disappeared. Not a big deal though.
