keyboard wrist rest - mt2

I cannot type without a wrist rest for my keyboard. I had a good one and cannot replace it as they no longer make it. Can anyone suggest a good one? My old one was 19" long and about 2" deep. Thanks so much!
What I did that worked great - Crafty MT
[ In Reply To ..]I too cannot type without one it causes too much pain in my hands and wrist. What I did was I had one of those sobakawa cloud pillows that stretched out too much to use as a pillow. Well I cut it open and made my own, sewing some soft material in a tube shape the size I wanted it to be filling it and then finished sewing it closed, it does not look store bought but it sure is comfortable. Those sobakakawa pillows are only 19 dollars at WalMart. Just be prepared there are millions of little soft beads. I put mine in a old dish tube I had so it all stayed in one place and used a plastic drinking glass to scoop them up and pour into the wrist pad I had made.

Ergo Beads - Grammy
[ In Reply To ..]I have been using an Ergo Beads wrist rest and it has helped the pain in my hands a lot. I bought it at Staples for about $20.00. You can probably buy it on-line, too. It is about the size you are looking for. I have even heard you can freeze it for extra relief.

[ In Reply To ..]I too had a wonderful wrist rest that was gel-filled and covered with a lycra fabric. Also fit the microsoft elite ergonomic keyboard perfectly. I have found a few on the internet and also Ebay -- they can be expensive. Another option are the microbead-filled tubes -- but they don't stay in place well. Good luck. They are a must for typist.
You could make a wrist-rest using a knee-high - stocking cut off at the

We are required to work a full-time schedule that includes either Saturday or Sunday, every weekend, forever. The only time we can take a full weekend is if we take a PTO day. But the problem is that we don't get paid holidays anymore (unless we work), so we are almost forced to take many of those as PTO days. Our sick days come out of our PTO days.
