Search engines other than Google - xxx

What are some good search engines other than Google? I like dogpile, but that pulls from Google also. Thank you!

Medical Transcription Word Seeker or MT Word Seeker is a customized version of Google. This one searches across only sites included in its database, primarily health and MT websites. It does not pull sites from all the billions of sites indexed by Google, but since it uses Google technology, perhaps this is not for you!

I am not sure why you want a non-Google search engine. If it is because of privacy concerns, then all search engines have access to user information. Some of the non-Google search engines are Bing and Yahoo Search.

but I'm not sure if it pulls info from Google or not. Bing is another good one.

I have downloaded Google Chrome. I have used the Google quick search box on my former computer. I am having trouble locating this for my new computer. What you do is tap the control keep twice, and a very small search box appears on the middle of your screen so you don't have to access anything with the mouse. I'm getting very irritated. Every time I try to reply to a post, the stupid Google Ad line with MT and transcribe links is right in the middle of the message area and I can't see what I type. I've been trying to get used to it for awhile now but I just hate it. It's got a column to the left with the same buttons on the top. Is is just me (virus, perhaps?), or has anyone else noted a sudden change in the way Google searches for things lately? In the past week or so, when I type in something to look up with Google, I keep getting "redirected" to another search page. Worse, it's usually a page that doesn't have clear search options. Okay, a funny thing happened. I've lost my white Google field at the top of my screen. My Google toolbar IS enabled. I have disabled it, then re-enabled it just to see what would happen and I still have no Google search option at the top of my screen. and now when I try to bring up statistics using F9 in Docuscribe, I get an error message. I'm not too computer savvy, but I'm sure it must be the new browser.
