Please help!! I tried to use that keyboard remapping

I'm a newbie to EditScript and am not very computer savvy. Is there a way I can remap Alt+A and Alt+P (the play and pause functions), to one key, for instance F3? I'm having tendon issues in my Achilles and I'd like to forego the foot pedal right now until I can give them a chance to heal. If so, how would I go about this? Has anyone successfully modified the shortcuts in Escription? I found this thread http://forum.mtstars.com/445423.html and found my way through the process, but at the very end I cannot save the changes correctly. I get a message about saving it as editscriptshortcuts.dot, but then it just doesn't seem to save correctly. Arrgh! So close but still so far. Can anyone help? TIA :) ...

Microsoft has discontinued these great keyboards and I need a new one. Anybody aware of a split keyboard that has a really nice touch (remember those old IBM keyboards?) for transcription work by Microsoft or another brand that you really like? I am using a Goldtouch now but the keyboard configuration does not really work for me, specifically the cntl, alt, and windows keys, as well as the home key. Hello, I am using a Microsoft split keyboard that is just about worn out and would like to know what most of you are using now. After using a split keyboard I do not think I could go back to a regular keyboard.
