My cable company is taking away our McAfee in May, and giving us Norton. I think I tried it years ago and hated it. Any thoughts? ...

EditScript was downloaded from employer in case I do back up accounts, but have not opened or used it yet. I did a complete scan by Norton 360 last night and it listed a high risk threat: editscript mt.msi "compressed threats." Anyone know anything about this? Hard to work when it does that. I have stopped the full system scan and made it at night but Norton still does other things and of course checks all emails and the computer just slows down so far it is hard to work until it is done. ...

My Word has begun to take forever to open and also to save reports. I am thinking perhaps the program has been corrputed and think perhaps I need to over-load the program again. Does anyone know if there is a fix for Word 2003 to correct the compatibility issue with Smartype? If I highlight a word and then type without deleting the text, Word will lock up. The screentip that comes up when typing the first letters of an AutoText entry has stopped working - and since there is no screentip, the option to insert an AutoText entry into the document by hitting "Enter" is not available either. Every so often when I press the delete key, it zooms through the report and deletes every character past where the cursor was located. Once everything is gone, the hour glass keeps flashing, the cursor no longer works, and I have to shut down the program and lose all of the material deleted.
