Try this. This was a good practice for me.
You can edit this to create any kind of macro. For instace, I have a macro to scroll up and down the page by just hitting F4 / F5. That way I don't have to reach for the mouse.
STEP ONE: (For MS Word 2003)
Open a document with some text you've typed.
Tools
Macro
Record New Macro
Macro name = DeleteLastWord
OK
Use Ctrl + Backspace to delete a word
On the small popup window, click on Stop Recording.
STEP TWO:
View
Toolbars
Customize
Commands
Keyboard
On the left side, select “Macros”
On the right side, select “DeleteLastWord”
Press new shortcut keys = Ctrl+J (or whichever function key/s you prefer to use)
Assign
