DocShuttle - DJ

Posted: Feb 08, 2011

I am looking into using the DocShuttle program for my business, but the more I read, the more confused I seem to get.   I understand about the Dongle allowing more than 3 installs, so here are my questions.

1.  Am I correct that I need to purchase DocShuttle Client, DocShuttle Administrator, AND DocShuttle Transcriptionist for myself, and then ALSO to purchase the DocShuttle Dictator for each MD office (or purchase with Dongle and that will cover all my accounts)?

2.  My docs aren't much for change, and am afraid they will not be willing to fork out the $$ for a digital recorder (nor can I afford to purchse one for each of them), so was wondering if a regular microphone plugged to their computer will work for them.  If so, any suggestions which brand to suggest to them and where to purchase?

I'm sure I will have more questions as I go along, but hope to be able to find the answers in these great message boards!! Thanks for any and all help anyone can provide.

Hi. The company that I used to be IC for used DocShuttle. As a transcriptionist, it is the easiest thing to work on that I have used so far. I had DocShuttle transcriptionist--this can be downloaded for free from their website. However, each transcriptionist must have his/her own dongle for the software. You, as the "boss" has to have administrator rights to the files to be able to assign accounts to each transcriptionist, so you do have to have the Administrator software. Some of the doctors that I typed for while working IC for her used her call in system and thus, each did not have their own handheld. One office had the DocShuttle installed and multiple doctors could use it. Each had their own upload ID.

This is about all I can tell you. I would try to get in contact with DocShuttle themselves and find out more specifics. Also, since it is DSS, these files are compatible with Express Scribe, so eliminates the must have use of the Wavpedal software.

DocShuttle. Anyone Have Experience With This?

A company I am checking into uses this and I wonder how user friendly it is, productive to where you can make a living.  I have worked on several platforms that made it difficult to make a living and others that I could just breeze through. Any thoughts/experience to share on DocShuttle? Thank you. ...

DocShuttle Client
Jul 25, 2012

How do we setup multiple FTP sites to connect in DocShuttle Client?  Under Settings, I could not find any "Add New Host/Site" feature.  This software already has a stupid policy of three installations for one purchase and now if I can't configure more than one site to connect, this will qualify for what you would call a complete ripoff.  I hope I am wrong. ...

DocShuttle And Wavplayer Lite?
Oct 10, 2014

Hi - I'm stymied.  I just paid $89 for Docshuttle and when I tried to play the file, I find that the foot pedal doesn't work.  Docshuttle provides Wavplayer Lite, and there is no Ports option where I can select USB as the foot pedal connection.  The URL shows the screenshot I took of the WavPlayer Lite. Anyone know how to connect the foot pedal?   Thanks! ...
