unable to open InScribe - NuanceMT

I have been attempting to work and unable to open InScribe. Repeatedly getting message that there is a problem with the program and it closes automatically. Has anyone on this platform experienced any trouble? Thank you in advance!

I am having the same problem since the upgrade. Everything gets very slow, adding cc physicians, etc., and next thing I know I get the message that Inscribe has encountered a problem and it shuts down. I lose all my work and have to start over.

I'm not happy with the upgrade either. It's glitchy as heck and much slower to respond than the old version. I also make a lot of x-ray copies, and when you make a copy now it automatically takes you to the new copy. It also puts the copy at the very bottom of the list in the queue instead of directly under the main report the copy was made from. I just want to create my damn x-ray copy and stay in the main report to finish it out like I used to... like I've done for the past 6 years with this program. Now I either have to make the copy & then jump back into my main report and find my place in the dictation so I can finish it or I have to wait til I'm done with the main report and then make sure to remember to make my copy. I've always made the copy at a certain point tho, and old habits die hard.

Hey Nuance... I have an idea... how bout you give me back that 5% that you deduct from my lines for working on an easier platform? This new version is slow and a pain in my rear.

An MT should not lose money for having a "good platform." Everyone should have a good platform. That said, the other 2 platforms that are even better, because they protested the penalty for having a good platform, I think they now have a completely different (and lower) pay grid !! How unfair is THAT. Of the two evils, I would prefer the -5%.

I do not have the problem of the copy going to the bottom of the list. It goes right under the original for me, but it does jump straight to the copy. I also do not have TOO much trouble with the platform being balky or shutting down on me. I had more trouble with the version directly before the upgrade. There are minor glitches and it is slower to respond than the previous versions. Most importantly, for me, I have to reload the "quick access tool bar" each time I exit and re-enter the platform. I have to move the toolbar to where I want it and reload it with my most-used functions, like "prior-reports" etc. and some of the icons are invisible...you have to place your cursor over the icon to see it. I try to place the icons in the same place every time so that I know where it is located for each function.

If the platform is wigging out too much I would try reloading the platform. I have not done it yet but when you do that it will probably come up with "do you want to fix the platform" message. Click yes, and it will load any fixes that may have been made by Emdat. It is worth a try. I did it on a previous version. All in all, I am pleased that the platform was not changed drastically as I had feared. It is actually okay in my book, only a little annoying. You should definitely call tech support with your concerns. They really DO listen, although it may take a little while to add fixes to the platform and may require a re-load on your part. You seriously get a pay decrease because the platform is better? OMG how unfair and unethical is this? Hey do a better job and by God get a pay cut! These stupid voice recs were made to supposedly be a better situation for all but all they have done is rec our careers.

For some reason when calling up the templates I am inserting my password yet every time it does not hold it, puts something else in and then my report freezes wht my being unable to get out of anything, template, report, etc and have to restart.
