Unable to work - software down - Pollyanna

I guess I HAVE to make up all time I can't access Beyond TXT tonight or I'll lose my benefits (not enough hours). You'd think they'd manage to pay people when it's THEIR software that's not working.

So sorry. Perhaps make it up before Friday midnight? - That is the end of the pay period.

Please check this out with your supervisor before just giving up on making it up (if that is possible given your real life situation).

The point is they want to treat you like an independent contractor instead of an employee when it suites them. If you want employees to flex and be available all the time, pay IC wages and you can have that. They want you to provide the ingredients, bake the cake, ice it, and deliver it and then they get to eat it. Karma does not work that way for long. If they are down, they must pay for it just like I have to pay for it in wages, flexing time, etc., if I am down. Just my opinion.

Yes, I see it your way, as well. They should pay - but getting them to is nearly impossible.

Totally, totally agree with you. There should be no reason to have to "make it up" or take PTO or whatever for anything like technology failures... totally agree.

It was not scheduled downtime so you should have - punched out and then back in under

down time and be paid your benefit rate for the time the system is down. That should account for the hours so you don't come up short as far as benefits go.

For some reason when calling up the templates I am inserting my password yet every time it does not hold it, puts something else in and then my report freezes wht my being unable to get out of anything, template, report, etc and have to restart.
