and though I am not thrilled with the pay at my new job after leaving Transcend/Nuance, reading this reminds me why I did leave and reminds me of how stressed I was with them. I have been contacted by lawyers that really seem to be working the class action case. Maybe there's hope on the horizon.

stupid/uninformed, but could you please tell us more? I'd like to read what they've put together so far. They usually put up a website for these, don't they? Thanks! (This is really exciting!) Because I posted about this awhile ago as a suggestion to our problems.

I googled it too and I got information about the Transcend class action suit. Is that the one you're talking about? I was hoping for one about Nuance and how they cut our pay in half and was hoping for retroactive reimbursement! That would be awesome!

if you don't want to take my link, google "Dolley + transcend + class action." I don't know if you are seeing the same one. but in the info I provided, the threat of cutting pay in half, of having no work, and much more are included. Since Transcend is a part of Nuance, we are still talking about the same company.

gone to the links and I want to thank you for them both. It's not that I didn't believe you, just that I thought it was a much older case, which now I see it is not. Hopefully, the Nuance MTs will also be included. Thanks again!

There needs to a lawsuit over Fiesa.... - my2cents

they need to be sued for:
1. The amount of time we're expected to spend "off the clock" reviewing these audits.
2. The amount of time we spend challenging incorrect scores.
3. The emotional distress related to #1, #2 and the fact they threaten our employment if we get below 99%. Now THAT is a lawsuit that needs to happen!

the various tasks that are required off the clock, or "of the keyboard" are already a part of this suit. Maybe you can still get on board.

I think the "bonus" which, let's face it, is not - really a bonus at all

but should be included in our salary, since all of us who have been "eaten" by Nuance used to make the lph plus "bonus" easily as a base previously, is really an important issue too.

The idea they can actually TAKE AWAY money so easily for making as little as one mistake, rather than offering mentoring, counseling, etc., BEFORE taking away the $, sets off alarm bells as far as their right to unfairly reduce our pay. They don't even have to warn you or anything, just kill your compensation slowly by QA.

I'd like to see any other job where you get money taken OFF you as easily as that. It's one thing to give you extra if you do well, but to be able to take money away for 3 months without even a warning or anything, well, that has to be against some labor law I have to think. Otherwise, other nasty employers would be docking their employees pay for similar. Something is really fishy about that extremely easy ability for them to take that "bonus" off us for an entire quarter. It's not even like you really have to make a horrendous mistake either, just a bunch of very minor ones.

Does anyone know if any other MTSO does that but Nuance, I mean actually takes money off you by poring through your work and finding errors? Or are we the only lucky ones who have that to worry about?

I have never been so afraid of sending a report to QA with a lot of blanks before, even though you know it is necessary. This taking away the bonus policy is just not right.

I've been all over the place today, from California to New York and everywhere in between, and not a single report from ANY of my "primaries" ... not even one. There doesn't seem to be ANY rhyme or reason to the type or location of the reports I've gotten ... it's crazy. I'm an IC but I don't work for any company, I have my own clients. One of my clients hasn't paid me since August, claiming a cash flow problem and they stated they "want to pay me asap".
