Question on LPH and Webclock - Trying to Figure This Out

I am trying to figure out how to best keep my LPH at a reasonable rate. Since on the new plan your lines per hour are divided by the hours in Webclock, what about the time you spend if you have to look something up, or try to find a word, or whatever, bathroom break. Would it be best to clock out in Webclock, do the search or whatever it is, and then clock back in once you have completed whatever it is you are doing? I know for me, sometimes I get caught up in "looking" for somethign and can spend way more time than I should on it, but once I've done it, I've done it. Any thoughts?

to search a minute or two and then let it go. You are otherwise going to end up chained for 16 hour days (punching in and out) and then will probably be called on the carpet for working outside your scheduled shift.

You shouldn't clock out when you are still working. Doing research necessary to do your job is part of the job of being an MT. The Dept of Labor would take a very dim view of any company that encouraged non-exempt (from minimum wage) employees to donate their time to the company - for one thing, that contravenes the whole concept of minimum wage. Nuance could not possibly encourage MTs to do this kind of clocking out. As the other poster says, the correct strategy is to be efficient in researching, not to clock out while doing it!

I've had TLs tell me to clock out, not to clock out, not to leave blanks, it's just a problem you can't solve. I look very briefly, blank it, and move on. If no matter what I do, it's a little bit wrong, I'm doing what benefits my pay check. Help yourself. A kitchen timer is very valuable. Set times of day where you hustle and have no interruptions. Set times of day for bathroom, have food ready before, and get comfortable so you don't have to get up. Really commit to a schedule for yourself and you will see an increase in the first week. I like to treat it as a race. Makes it fun :)

Does anybody else have trouble just signing on to this darned thing? I have to try 5 to 10 times a night sometimes to even get the Webclock to come up. I can get onto the first page okay, but then clicking on ITCS Weblock after the Payroll button more often than not results in a totally blank page. I am wondering about the webclock I heard Nuance uses. Are they crazy strict about sticking to your shift and clocking out for everything? I like the flexibility Transcend offers with regard to family stuff. If I have to go pick up my kid or go to the school or doctor, they are cool with it and let me flex. Can someone clarify for me how schedules/Webclock is supposed to to work??? You are scheduled to work 8 hours. There is no work, you wait 15 minutes, supposed to clock out and check back later, etc. If all of this considered part of your 8 hours?? or do you have to make up the daggum time for all this crap of checking back and forth, emailing to get jobs assigned, etc. I only have those 8 hours and cannot flex. The score for this quarter? Mine is still showing my QA accuracy score exactly as it was prior to 09/30, which made me ineligible for the weekly production incentive bonus for the entire last quarter.
