OOW main acct - sal

Something is seriously wrong. I am very rarely OOW on my main acct, especially on Friday nights. Had no work in there all afternoon, now 2 reports and it looks like there are some people who are getting jobs. Either work is very sparse or too many people are in my account flexing from earlier in the week.

I don't know how long you've been with Nuance, so that's a good place to start. If you have time, read as far down as possible. Good explanations throughout, really.

Apply for one of the MT jobs they have ads for and get the $2000 - sign on bonus. They are DESPERATE

Makes you wonder. It is personal or just pee-poor management that so many are without work, yet they feel the need to do things like that?

I don't mean to sound mean or even sarcastic, it really does make one wonder; this is not good for your health, not even good for Nuance!

Going to be scarce with former QC now cherry picking whichever accounts, WTs, or whatever doctors they want. You know they ain't pickin' the most difficult. Between front-end EHR, offshoring, and overhiring I usually get alot of manicure time or chapters read.

Percentage of work going to India is increasing - across the board. My TL told me this

The goal is to keep enough people cycling through to compensate for all the MTs bailing as soon as they catch on to the fact that Nuance really only acquires MTs to train the very software that eventually unemploys themselves.

Think of it like a giant revolving door where way too many people stream in and just as many (different) people stream out. Been going on as long as I can remember.

On the main board there is a message titled "Gotta Vent" and the following replies regarding coding have made me sick to my stomach, especially because a couple people stated seeing their coding departments wiped out by the EMR systems. We recently had a new account start and the doctors often do not dictate all the main headings of the template that loads. The hospital keeps changing their mind as to keep it unused main heading in versus take it out if not dictated. Typically, I have always removed it if it was not dictated. But what do most of you do? I am wondering why in the past 2 months or so the VR on my main account has become worse than when the drs were first VR. I am finding myself typing more than 50% of the supposed VR instead of just editing it and dropping my paycheck even further. I am starting a new acct tomorrow. I sure hope I dont have to go through training. We never have been trained on the cesspool that we get, we just get new accts when our regular work is caught up, so why do we need training on a new account? That is ridiculous. MQ, please just let me work and make a living. Stop with all this changing CCMs and assigning new accts. This coming pay check I probably will have 2 days on it if that much. Geez.. ...

I'm on accts that do not allow any blanks at all through to the cliient. ALL blanks must go to QA. I haven't ever worked on an acct that would not even allow one blank to the client. Anyhow, might not would be so bad but the dictators are TERRIBLE! Many ESLs also. Combine no blanks allowed with terrible dictators = sending more to QA. That means docked pay if 5% or more. Does not surprise me.. the Canned reports featured in EPIC I am sure will take over to completely do away transcriptionists. Clearly healthcare is okay with homogenous reports that really are not particular to the patient, just trying to stay within the slimmest margin of the law.
