I have an interview this morning. I'm not sure I - understand though. Transcend or Nuance?

I've read through these posts and are Nuance and Transcend separate but the same? What side is better and how do you know what one to ask for? Is it just the platform that is different? Any info appreciated.

Transcend has been absorbed into Nuance. They are essentially the same company (T a subsiderary of N). I came into Nuance with Transcend. T has multiple platforms. I personally believe that T has been run way better than N, and so far, most if not all the good management is still intact/the same. I am on the Bayscribe platform, simple, somewhat lacking, but IMO much better than the complicated ones. My accounts are straight typing, probably not a lot of those left though. If you get your foot in the door, maybe you'll get lucky to get great team leader and account, or at least have opportunity down the line to do so. Good luck.

Avoid the Dictaphone side of things if you can. We run out of work all of the time, are expected to flex to when they need us or take PTO or unpaid time off, and often times cannot make a full 40-hour week. It is really upsetting that they are still hiring more MTs while they have some really great MTs who can barely make 20 hours out of a 40-hour week. Good luck to you.

I work on the Dictaphone platform with Transcend. Since the merger with Nuance, things have changed. We have different managers everywhere, don't know who to go to with what and work has been really slow. It's not like it was before - everything is different and not for the better. I haven't even heard from the new manager yet and it's been almost 2 weeks since the "reorganization" as they put it. I don't know what to expect come January when we are really all Nuance.

I do not work on the dictaphone platform for Nuance, but unfortunately I can tell you to expect the worst.

I wish I could say something positive about Nuance, but I have been job hunting since Nuance swallowed everything up.

I'm getting so tired of having a report or two, then NJA, then while waiting another report comes, then NJA, etc., etc., early in my shift. Sure, we have been encouraged to just check back later on and work then. I really don't know why they suggest or even allow this to happen. I am sick to death of typing on accounts not in my BOB! This is the 4th one already and I am only an hour into my shift. There are no samples in the repositry, there are no jobs that come up under the dictator look up feature... I keep stuffing down the Tums, wondering why in the heck I was forced to do weekend hours when there is no work in my accounts on the weekend. I HATE THIS. How do you all do it? Well, to the poster below in ESL garbage land, first let me say. I too was in that same place 2 weeks ago. An addition to my regular account, but it was all I was getting and NOT getting my OP notes at all. The reports were not more than 20 lines usually, but I spent much, much time in trying to decipher and be FTR.
