Fiesa - QA has the initials HBE (home-based employee?) - Dotty

Posted: Jun 09, 2014

If a QA has the initials HBE (home-based employee?), does anyone know if they are offshore?  If they are US, why don't they have US in front of their number? These people seem to be the nastiest of the bunch and the most nit-picking.  I just failed a post-audit because I missed out the word "the" where it made absolutely no difference to the meaning.  They also seem to make the most errors as I got a few critical errors reversed recently and it was the QAs with the initials HBE who were wrong and I was right.  It took my own time to do this.  How can anyone be content with this whole situation?    Also has anyone noticed that VR seems to be missing out whole phrases?  In critical areas like numbers and genders, VR comes through as the exact opposite.  Now I am actually typing for 4 c a line.  What a deal for this company!  We provide our own equipment and type for 4 c a line.  Leaving soon.  Have something else lined up so don't care.  Not going to let them make me feel worthless anymore.  I know I do a good job.

I don't get Fiesa - It makes absolutely no sense and - stupid name for a stupid program

And yes I noticed VR is getting worse. It skips phrases from good dictators and I can type reports faster than edit this ugly VR Nuance puts out.

VR - dazed and confused

I have noticed VR getting worse too. It is not as bad as when I first started doing VR, but it seems to be backsliding, leaving out sentences and important things the doc is dictating that are very clearly said. Numbering is always wrong, sometimes it will number with a number or two missing from the list or number some things on the list but not others. It seems to be backsliding. Also, I noticed a poster on here saying old reports seem to be missing or not added maybe because of EMR, and now I am noticing that too, when I want to reference something and look up an old report that the doc definitely says the pt was in this healthcare system, there is no report there just the current dictation

ROGER THAT! - YB

I agree. I reported this and was told be glad I still have a job. Guess that means they don't plan to upgrade their VR!

Hi everyone!  I hope someone can shed some light on who hires recent graduates for home-based MT work.  I've been applying to every company I can find but most want in-house experience or 1 year+.  Not having a car limits my in-house work.  That's why I went into this field.  I've been looking for 2 weeks and have gotten few replies (all "thanks but no thanks").  I've completed Medical Terminology course with a 94% and Medical Transcription cours ...

Initials For Resident/dr/mt
Jul 12, 2010

Help please:) I work at a residency clinic and was wondering how to sign off a letter if you want to put the resident's initials (the one dictating), the precepting doctor and then your initials.  Usually they tell us just to put our initials on a new line, i.e. /mt.  For a doctor you would do: DR/mt, but what about the resident? Do you put both sets of initials? Thanks! ...

How Do You Type Your Initials On A Report?
May 30, 2012

I have always typed my initials with the doctor then me as ABC/def.  That is the way I was taught when I got my MA degree and have always seen it as that until I started working for this office.  They type it ABC:def or ABC;def.  Nothing is consistent and seems like everyone does whatever they feel like.  Also, when typing a note for a PA and CRNP I always put their initials and then the initials of the doctor and then mine such as ABC/DEF/ghi and I have not seen one report t ...

Frustrated With The BOS 3rd Edition Being Web-based!
Dec 30, 2009

The pdf electronic version of BOS-2 was so handy and easy to use.  Wonder what made them decide to do away with that & make it to where you have to open a browser, find the link, sign in, find the BOS page, etc., for the 3rd edition.  It's so much more time-consuming, not to mention the search feature doesn't work nearly as well as the BOS-2 pdf version.  For the first time ever, I can't wait for the 4th edition because surely nobody likes this & they will g ...

Is Focus Infomatics Really US-based Now?
Jan 29, 2010

A former manager of mine from "brand X MTSO" (in reality, a very dear friend now) got thrown under the bus.  She knows how "QBay" does.  She is considering an MT or QA job for Focus Infomatics.  Focus claims to not offshore, and has offered my friend 8 cpl.  That sounds terribly lame wage wise for all that experience. When I couldn't drink the MQ Kool-Aid anymore, I was making a whopping 9 cpl.  Of course, try doing the math on that formula come payday.   Jus ...
