Something isn't right - Ex Spheris

Look at all of these posts and it seems something is brewing at MM and it is the beginning of the end. When I worked for Spheris, it was like a madhouse at the end; every other day some kind of change to keep us off guard. Rumors flying everywhere, yet denied by S. Finally the hammer fell and they went "bankrupt." Yeah right! If you believe that, "pigs fly." I am seeing sort of the same thing here. I would be gathering my things and looking elsewhere, yesterday and get out fast. If this company does go under cut back to next to nothing staff, there are going to be a lot of MTs looking for work and believe me, it's slim pickins out there!

Seems fishy that no one will reply to this post. Makes me wonder if - any of it is true. NM

to do is get off your hiney, read the posts yourselves instead of wanting somebody else to do it for you, and figure it out for yourselves. They don't want to post their initials, and should not have to, for fear of being singled out by MM for posting on a public forum.

Its my understanding that you cannot post anything you were privy to or names as you signed a contract stating so. Trust me I WOULD LOVE TO but watch you dont get into trouble. Good luck all. Loved my job :(

If everyone will just look at Sue's post below, where the reply is "southeast" you will see that Sue posted not just the TSM's initials.

Because they don't allow the posting of "real" supervisors names here or names that could specifically identify a person in a post. It's usually deleted right away.

I have always typed my initials with the doctor then me as ABC/def. That is the way I was taught when I got my MA degree and have always seen it as that until I started working for this office. They type it ABC:def or ABC;def. Nothing is consistent and seems like everyone does whatever they feel like. If a QA has the initials HBE (home-based employee?), does anyone know if they are offshore? If they are US, why don't they have US in front of their number? These people seem to be the nastiest of the bunch and the most nit-picking. I just failed a post-audit because I missed out the word "the" where it made absolutely no difference to the meaning. Sometimes I'm not sure what to do when they say "post" ... something. I know if it is postauricular (for example), it is attached ... but how about post aneurysmal surgery? I was laid off today too. I have been with the company for 8 years. I consistently make my quota by a long shot, at over 375 lph. I had my audit a month ago at 99.3%. Well, it's official. I just got the call that I am officially laid off! I am glad that what I knew was inevitable has finally happened so I can move forward, but at the same time can't help grieving over the loss of what once was a career that I loved and was good at. I have this hint that normally helps me: “lie, lay, lain” (to recline); “lay, laid, laid” (to place or put down). The sentence is: "The patient was brought into the endoscopy suite and 'laid' in the left decubitus position." I was thinking it should be lain, but the patient was technically "put" in that position, so it should be laid. Correct? I've gone and confused myself. ...
