BayScribe versus Integra/Futurenet - CuriousMT

Posted: Dec 15, 2014

Luckily I'm not on either of these platforms, but I see a bunch of the BayScribe people posting about only getting paid for 88%.  Essentailly, it sounds like they forgot to include BayScribe in the Platform Factor section of the original document, but if you noticed, Integra/Futurenet has a Platform Factor of 0.85, meaning they'll only be paid for 85%!

This sucks all the way around. While my QA score for the past year has NEVER dipped below 99%, often being at 99.4 or higher, now that they're doing it on a weekly basis, for the past two weeks (granted, only one of those counts), I'm below 99%.  Just below, but I'm still below it! Unbelievable!

And of course, noone has noticed that if you type basically ALL VR, your new minimum line count has gone up to 200.

And this is all legal.  Horrible, but legal.

None of this is good, but a lot of MTSOs want 250 lph for VR. - Not that it makes any of this better.

That's not how it was explained to us - IntegraMT

We were told in the conference call that the 0.85 platform factor would be in ADDITION to the base rate.

To IntegraMT - I don't think they told you correctly - CuriousMT

The way the PDF reads and the way it was explained on the training video was that you will multiple your converted lines (so half your edit and full value of your typed) by that number, which for Integra/FutureNet is 0.85. So for every 1000 converted lines, you'll only be paid for 850 of them.

I mean, technically you could multiple your final rate by 0.85 and get the same thing.

As in, if you were getting $0.08 cpl for 1000 lines, that'd be $80. Then multiply that by 0.85 and you'd get $68. (Which is the same as multiplying 850 lines by $0.08)

No matter how you do the math, we're all getting screwed. (Well, 65% of us are, according to their calculations)

We were also told - IntegraMT

that our TSMs had ran the numbers and that everyone they had done had an increase in pay. Guess I'll see if that's true when our timesheet is ready for approval.
With a difficulty factor that low - I imagine they think the account is easy
[ In Reply To ..]
They are basically saying that Integra/FutureNet accounts (and the software you work on) is 15% easier to use and to type for than ALL other Nuance accounts. I'm not sure if you just do straight typing (which I, personally, feel leads to higher QA scores as I am less likely to miss a word when typing than editing), or what specifically makes it easier (maybe some of the stuff you get paid for gets autopopulated? Maybe they don't reduce your line count by a set amount like that apparently do [and don't tell us they do] for Dictaphone, etc.).

I'd love to see a webinar explaining why some accounts are considered easier than others.

There's an account that my TSM has that is always horrible. When she sends out stats for that account, the QA scores are always in the red, there is a TON of MUP (make up pay), and it's always out of TAT. Truthfully, I can't see how we've held onto it this long! Point is, I think that account could easily warrant a difficulty differential (of even close to 50%!!!!), but I doubt they'll get it! And I feel horrible for those MT's on that account since if their QA scores stay as low as the metrics show, and if they were already receiving MUP, then they're going to be now receiving up to a full cent less per line! Unbelievable.

Integra
Jan 29, 2014

Anyone familiar with the Integra platform? I was hoping that I would be using EditScript, since Nuance makes the Dragon platform. 157 lph, 99% accuracy, with 60 days to meet production standards. And I've read some of the horror stories on FIESA. That said, I'm not looking for 18 years of job security, more like 18 months. For the past few months, I have been working for Acusis. Despite the horror stories regarding Indian-QA companies, they've been relatively good to me. That s ...

Instant Text And Integra
Mar 15, 2011

Does anyone use Instant Text with Probity's Integra platform?  I just downloaded IT and am having a lot of difficulty using it.  First, I had to set it to be on the right side of the screen because otherwise the time marker disappeared.  Not a big deal though. When I add an entry while in Integra, it moves the screen down each time I make an entry and the only way I can make the typing screen large again is to exit out of the report back to the RIS screen and then go back i ...

End Point Versus Endpoint And Hand Grip Versus Handgrip
Mar 13, 2012

Two words that come up often for questioning.  These are strictly used in an orthopedic setting.  Stedman's and Dorland's list end point and hand grip HOWEVER the office transcription manager,  girl is asking for me to correct this to endpoint and handgrip. She is only basing this on what an old medical transcription company she used to work for had her typing. I would rather base it on the  medical reference. The doctors are not even aware this has come up. She is ...

FutureNet - What Is Up With Them
Jun 11, 2010

Not sure what is up with them.  They have several ads again but there is absolutely no work for us long timers.  Suspect they are hiring newbies and paying less to get the work done.  BTW, do not ever expect an increase in line rate.  You will NEVER get one.  Also do not expect to attain those bonuses they talk about in the ads - they have now made it impossiible to reach that level by maknig work unavailable, once you get close to making the bonus you can expect to see no work available ...

If Anyone On Here Uses FutureNet
Sep 25, 2012

Wondering if anyone on here uses FutureNet (possibly the glitchiest, most annoying transcription software ever created).  I use it at work.  When I started using it, it seemed to have a pretty good medical dictionary in it -- recognized all the medical terminology and almost all of the drugs, so I ASSUMED that all that was included.  So now we have a newbie, and when SHE uses FutureNet, it marks every single drug as an error (red wavy line), as well as all the medical terms.  I'm to ...

Futurenet, I Really Do Not Get It. What Am I Missing? Sm
Apr 02, 2010

I recently went back there part-time to supplement my day job after quitting because I got real tired of the highly fluctuating work flows.  My husband really pushed me to do this because we needed the extra money.  Once again, there is never any work for me to do, and yet they are hiring again?  Saying they need 2nd and 3rd shift?  That's what I do.  I'm not even going to bother trying to talk to them about it, because I already tried that and got nothing back ...

FutureNet Interview
Jun 02, 2010

Hi group!  I have a job interview with Rita at Futurenet tomorrow.  The reason I am looking is I am really tired of constantly running out of work because my company over hired and now we transcriptionists are just out of luck!  I am in my 4th year with my current job and suddenly can barely hit $100 a day.  This is really sad when there is no loyalty to their employees.  Now from what I have been reading Futurenet is the same???  I read from this group how they run ...
