400 Lines An Hour? - Meh

I'm just thinking back to that whoever person that posted on here about a week or two ago that says he or she easily makes $16 to $18 an hour at Nuance and has plenty of work and always gets paid on time. A lot of replies said the poster is probably a fake and is someone from Nuance management or human resources who is desperate for people to hop on board.

I posted that it would be impossible to make $16 as an MT at Nuance, for you'd have to be nearly bionic in terms of your brain and hands and churn out the rate of 400 lines/hour at editing.

Then someone else posted that he or she easily churns out 400 edited lines/hour. But I still don't believe it. After all, MTs at Nuance are not only responsible for what's on the report but also demographics and with all the different worktypes reviewing the different MT instructions. For 400 lines/hour, one wouldn't be able to pause at all, let alone stop to research occasionally.

Anybody else here can vouch that their rate for editing is easily 400 lines/hour?

It's all lies. I was told by an ex-manager at Nuance that she had to monitor this board and "talk it up" about Nuance since they were desperate for newbies. So, this is probably a TSM.

There is just no way. Not with acute care at Nuance, and I seriously - doubt with ambulatory either.

IF for no other reason than this is Nuance, and they would never stand for it. Let alone all the good math you did. Just no way.

I did with a previous company where templates were trustworthy and we were - paid for headers, etc., and did not have to do dem

I'm from the Probity buyout. I make $16 an hour average (when the work is there). I can edit 300-350 lines per hour. Waiting to be moved to EditScript Monday and hoping that I can keep that up or do even more.

It's not difficult to do 300 or 400. I have hit 500 with certain work types but they keep adding crap to my queue. So I just do the minimum. Piss on them.

Hi! Just wanted to know... I have been told by others who are QA/editors that you dont always get paid by the line or by hour... some places pay them differently. I dont understand how else you can get paid, that doesnt make any sense to me. Anyone know anything about this? I have been promoted to QA and was wondering what the average line count you that do QA get in an hour or a day. I have been doing this for a few months and I am making about the same amount of money per month as I was with MT. Am I being too slow? I am afraid to speed it up for fear of missing something. Hi, I seem to struggle with line counts (a few years into MTing). Some accounts I am fine with and some very slow.
