I got an email from Medquist this morning regarding employment.

Part of it says...

Congratulations! We would like to invite you to continue with the next step of the hiring process, which is a test for the Medical Transcriptionist position at MedQuist. Please note, if you've recently completed the testing portion you do not need to test again. Your status will be updated once we receive the results.

I believe I tested for them in the past and was not hired. I can't remember how long it was, but do you recommend testing again? Just asking opinion. Thanks!

The smartest thing any MT can do with regard to MedQuist is to RUN THE OTHER WAY. Have you ever read the MQ board?

I agree with burned - don't walk, RUN the other direction. If want to earn a living, don't work for them (unless you live in india of course). If you want to know you will have work, don't work for them. An all US account that suddenly got way behind TAT after Medquist bought Spheris, is now "surprise!" being sent to "global" (read that India/CBay part of company) and supers scrambling to find new accounts for MTs. You want to see a disappearing paycheck? Then continue the process.

I accidentally deleted the email with all the information in it to take the test. So I guess I won't be taking it, but after reading everything about them, I am glad the email is gone!

Before you even consider MQ, do some research on the suit brought against them by MTs years ago. Are these really people you would want to work for?
