So, Where's All The Proud TTS Cheerleaders, No Jan 29, 2015answers? Several questions on this board about TTS that nobody wants to answer evidently. 1) New oncology account out of Texas 2) Account in Memphis still there that starts with a B?
Usually, the cheerleaders have a lot to say, but suddenly silent! They must be basking in their glory as Nuance and TTS conspire to steal work! ...
Well, I Have Had The Usual Late Night Line Count Crushing Jobs. Jul 25, 2014First 3/4, hanging on 150 lph by a thread. Now the usual late-night line-killer doctor a couple of times and a long train of bad audio. Just barely able to get over 110 lph. Oh, and don't forget that 20-minute job during which the doctor had a hard time making up his mind as to what he wanted to say.
Performance management here I am. Got my first nudge today. Let's see if they will let me be on line count performance management as long as they did quality ...
About To Blow!!!!! Jan 18, 2011Sent report to QA with 4 blanks as 4 blanks is "too many" for this client. QA sent same 4 blanks through and that is OK. Makes me want to . . . . I don't know what. I just don't want to get in trouble for sending the 4 through myself and possibly lose this fabulous job (yes sarcastic). ...
How Much Time Do You Blow Off? Mar 09, 2010Since most of us work at home, how much time do you honestly blow off? I have become excessively blowing off time lately. I admit I'm fed up w/this field and can achieve a high line count in about 4 to 5 hours. The rest of the time I'm running my son to activities, making dinner, watching TV ect. I hate to admit to this, but its the truth. I just cannot possibly sit for 8 hours and listen to the crap anymore and for what we get paid, I might as well take a ...

Blow Your Nose, Would You Please? Jul 18, 2014I have a doctor that has been sniffling, snuffling, and snorting his way through a 15 minute report. I would not mind at all if he took time out to blow his nose so I didn't have to listen to all the above noises. ...
Okay Another Question To Blow Your Minds Jan 26, 2012You know the whole wait 15 minutes for a job, then if you still don't have one, put in 15 minutes of work availability thing?
What if you choose to keeping checking for work instead of clocking out for the day or taking PTO, do you keep putting in 15 minutes of work availability everytime you check for work, wait 15 minutes, and there is none?
Inquiring minds want to know.....really just trying to find a loop hole and get paid for more than 15 minutes when there is no darn wor ...
IOD Coder Development Program May 14, 2015Has anyone gone through this program or know of anyone who did? It is a training program and then they place you to work from home as a coder. It sounds pretty intense and you must work for them for at least 18 months after being placed in a position or pay back the training fees (15K). Would just be nice to hear from someone who went through this program. ...
TAA Or UE -- THE WORKONE/WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICES Jan 14, 2010For the typical WorkOne/Workforce Development staffer, being an employee means working 80 hours biweekly and being paid a FIXED hourly rate for those 80 hours. This is because most people on traditional unemployment (UE), and those receiving TAA, worked 80 hours biweekly and were paid a fixed hourly rate for those 80 hours. That is not how MQ MT pay works. MTs earn income based on production which is based on work availability or the number of jobs available during 8-hour shift. MTs ...
Potential Major Development For The Medical Transcription Industry - Sm Apr 29, 2015Dr. Wyatt, a physician affiliated with The Joint Commission, just released an article recommending that the TJC become involved in helping to create new standards and protocols for the medical transcription industry. His article addressed the vast majority of the issues that negatively impact the dictation/transcription process and the need to fix these problems because of their potential for jeopardizing patient safety. Among the many things mentioned in the article that he feels ne ...

CMT Differential? May 05, 2010Hi, everyone:
I see here and there some companies state they pay a differential for CMT status. Anyone out there who knows which companies do so and whether they actually follow through/and or what the differential is? WMX Differential For CMT? Jul 31, 2010Of course it is late Friday night when I am trying to figure out if it would be worth it to study and sit for the CMT--and I can't find a specific amount for the WMX CMT differential to do my quick and dirty calculations. :)
Anyone out there know how much they offer? Or at least where they specifically state what amount is given? ...
Isn't There A Holiday Pay Differential? Nov 26, 2009. ...
Holiday Pay Differential Nov 27, 2009Last holiday (Labor Day) I was paid a differential. It is usually time and a half so going by your base you will see an additional line on your paystub of holiday lines: ex. if your base rate is 0.08 you will see holiday pay 0.1200 x 1000 lines. As far as I know, we have not received any notification that we do not get holiday pay. ...

About That New Shift Differential.......for Those It Applies To Anyway....... Jan 02, 2011I think I may have spoken too soon when I said they basically got rid of it. Math is definitely not my thing, but after studying it further, isn't it basically the same?
It says,
An additional $0.0075 per line or $0.09 per report for work transcribed between the hours of: (and then it gives the different hours for each time zone).............
Isn't that what it was before? And the .09 cents per report, is this for radiology reports? ??? ...
