no work without pay option - sm

Can we no longer take this option? In Remedy you only have 2 options to choose, make up or PTO. I don't want to make up or use my PTO for out of work. What to do?

The option for no pay is on Team Work - sm

In Remedy select PTO option. When requesting leave for that day in Team Work select no pay no work option from the drop down menu. Enter the rest as you normally would.

I select PTO on Remedy, but when I enter in my info for leave on Team Work, I select the no work option. I think it was three TSMs ago (not long ago) I was told I couldn't use it. I explained to her I was certainly not going to take paid time off, nor would I use excused no pay as that is still time out of my pocket (for lack of a better term). After all, I didn't create the situation. She could not argue with that, and I never heard another word about it. You could use the excused no pay option if you wanted to, but that comes out of your time also.

This has nothing to do with the question you asked, but some TSMs like to make up their own rules, especially when it comes to the no work policy. One of the TSMs I've had in the past didn't want you to file a remedy ticket at all when you ran out of work, she just wanted you to make up the time. I continued to file tickets regardless of what she said, and she finally told me that her manager watches the NJA tickets and she was afraid they would take her MTs/MEs and move them to an area with more work.

I'm reading about the difference between the two of these, and it looks like the employer withholds a portion of your income to cover medical expenses.
