to send back to MQ since I resigned. I'm considering putting my entire collection of 12yo Stedman's reference books in the box. That would just be extra padding, right? To keep that oh so valuable computer safer, right? Would love to see the UPS bill!;)

My CCM put me on a new primary account and it is wonderful! I haven't run out of work in MONTHS, and even before this I hardly ever did. She told me that a lot of unreliable, MTs are being "thinned out". Whatever! Good for me! I have no sympathies in this dog eat dog world any more. Sadly, this is what I am now, but it pays the bills!

So the MTs with NJA here are unreliable & being deliberately thinned out? - ?

I'm trying to read between the lines of your post, but are you saying your CCM makes sure you don't run out of work but other MTs who ARE running out of work are being "thinned out" because they're unreliable?

Not trying to be snarky, just trying to make sure I comprehended this correctly.

Hey! Leave Kiki alone! She's just being brutally honest. It is a dog eat dog world and if she's doing well, why are you all mad at her for that? It's like the wife blaming the mistress instead of the husband syndrome. I'd take my complaints right to MQ and stop whining ("venting") on a forum chock full of negative criticism! I seriously doubt kiki is hanging around the forum anymore. She's probably WORKING!

When someone posted a question if the real Kiki got taken by aliens I took a closer look and realized the fake Kiki was posting as kiki (no capital K) and was all over the other boards too trying to stir up trouble and that is when I called out the fake kiki. I mean honestly, tons of work and never running out? Obviously an alien.

MQ has lost so many accounts to India and the other MTSOs that they are now overstaffed. Nobody has work. And if you are fortunate to have a primary that has work watch out because my helper pool will be coming for your work along with every other MT.

So when my primary account's server went down and we were without work for a couple of days that was MQ thinning the herd? No, that was the server going down and my CCM not finding us work. We MTs were reliable punching in ready to work, MQ had none to give us. Whoever you are go away, you obviously are a suit that has no clue what is going on.

I leave my computer up and running all the time. In the past week every morning I am having to reboot because I get an error saying "insufficient system resources to perform this action." I was just wondering how old some computers are that are having problems with 6.1 and if there are people with newer computers that handles it better. Mine is a MQ computer that is 4 years old now and it bogs down quite a bit. Everything is sluggish now. I do have 1 GB of ram and 1.84 GHz, so 6.1 shouldn't take a toll on it as bad as it is. Does anyone use a Mac for medical transcription with Windows XP and MT software that requires nothing newer than XP? Tech support says the Dpcqscribe program will only work with a 32 bit 4 gig computer...Im trying to not have to use their virtual desktop since it is lagging my computer something fierce..So I went to Best Buy today and all they have is 64 bit Windows 7 models..but they did say I could load windows 7 professional on there for another 99 dollars and it will run as a 32 bit...has anyone tried this and had it work??...Ill call tech support in the morning before I invest..I need to get off this craz ...
