What is the difference between "Excused Absence-No Work" and SM - confused

"Excused Absence- No Pay."??

Email says since we had late work on Friday and Saturday, according to the VP we cannot use "excused no work" but must use PTO or "excused no pay"

I have no idea - that confused me also. NM - mmmt

You can have unlimited "excused absence - no work", but you have limited "excused absence - no pay." I don't know what the limit is. Mine currently says 104 hours, and I don't think I've ever used it before.

There are 13 days you can take off with - permission

at no pay, but apparently they are not supposed to be used for NJA. Supposedly if you take 2 hrs NJA and use one of the those 13 days, you actually have to take off a whole day, or 8 hrs.

They have now broken the 13 days into hours, so we can now take just 2 or 3 hours, whatever we need.

If you take 2 hours off that counts as 1 day when you use time off without pay and not PTO. PTO goes by hours and not days.

I have taken excused absence - no pay a few times, an hour here, an hour there. It is definitely hours, not days, and does not have to be a full hour. I have 97.25 hours left.

Wrong. It goes by hours and you can use them an - hour at a time. NM

policy. They can change it, but not willy-nilly or after the fact. What if you work Sun-Thurs, surely for us to know we were behind we would have to check email on our days off without pay, which of course opens the company up to a new series of complaints. Right now they get away with it because they say it is factored into our line count, but if we are expected to check on our days off, there is no line count for them to hide behind.

Our TSM has sent a couple mass e-mails saying anyone who wanted to use this option of Excused Absence - No Work would be allowed to do so on certain days when it was offered. If we do this, are those hours subtracted from our 104 hours of Excused Absence - No Pay that we are allowed yearly? if you run out of work - the policy is dated 08/28/2013 - so why in the Email from the POD director is that not listed!!!. I AM NOT USING PTO OR WORKING 24/7 to get in 39-40 hours of work for something that is not my fault and beyond my control!!! ...

I have never been able to run much above 150 lph average doing VR for my company. It is so horrid, I can usually type it quicker. I cannot even imagine how anybody is doing 400-500 lph average. Is it just me or my region but the only difference I have seen in the upgrade is the doctor's data base and being able to number with the numbering function. I have yet to see the headings column come up on the left with a job or have the option on the top that says "type headings as dictated." When I try to use the alt-H for inserting headers it it is still coming up in the middle of the screen and it is not showing, "client preferred headings." Pretty much anything that ...

I've only done straight transcription in the past and just got hired by a company who apparently does both SR and transcription...can anyone give me info on their experiience as far as if I will make the same amount doing editing for SR as I would transcribing? Looking at 0.04 cpl is a bit dauntiing. I type really fast and it almost seems like I could straight transcribe a dictation at 0.08 cpl as fast as I could edit one at 0.04...just wondering about anyone else's experie ...
