It slows my computer way down. I was typing a little while ago and all of a sudden the word I had just typed disappeared and the line above it was doubled! When I scrolled up and down the page it just got worse. It was about 2 minutes before it fixed itself and I was able to put the cursor in the correct place and finish the report.

And I agree with everyone else here, the doctor lookup is a joke! Just a time-waster and too many keystrokes. Why would they do this to us?

I just ignore that new listing feature. Haven't had to bother with that heading thing, either (couldn't make head or tails of the tutorial, anyway).

This stuff is trash. I HATE MedQuist. I just went online and put in a ticket with Q care or whatever the *ell that web site is called. Then I signed off early!

I had that doubled line thing happen to me, too. So annoying. Things definitely do not flow as smoothly as before, takes longer to load jobs, and the typing seems to have a bit of a lag, just enough to be annoying. Definitely cuts into the line count for sure. It really seems like they did this just to aggravate us. If so, it worked!

With every stroke I type, the word "split" in the upper right hand corner blinks on. So it's like SPLIT split SPLIT split SPLIT split...catches my eye and it's soooo distracting.

something was wrong! lol Funny we both have that problem. I am trying my best to ignore the changes (I'm numbering and heading the same as always, though it takes me a bit longer to do headings in that the normal few letters I used to use are not DIFFERENT), but the slowing down process really stinks. I usually get about anywhere from 1200-1350 lines during my shift and last night (with 6.1) I got 845.

What wouldn't they do to get people to quit, to weasel out of paying people, to keep you from getting unemployment, blah blah blah. This is just a continuation of what's been going on for the last year or so, and my opinion, it's only going to get worse.

I got outa there! Shame that I started dreading a job I used to love.

Here I was hoping things would be stabilized for a while. My daughter works in a factory and I was watching the grandkids and then working for MQ in the afternoon and evening. Sigh. Looks like I'm going to have to find another job. Can't take this much longer. At least I'm still getting unemployment, that helps. It is so disheartening to work for a company who couldn't give a rats a$$ about their (American) workers.

It's making Spheris' Cornerstone program state of - the art in comparison. Unreal. nm

Hit your Client Diagnostics Generator and file a report. The doubled line thing is very peculiar. Filing a QCare ticket can work, but the diagnostics go straight to the programmers.

There's been a lot of issues with "stuttering" performance having to do with the "spellcheck while you type" mainly on older machines, and turning it off seems to help that.

As far as the doc lookup, it is running slower because the doc list isn't on our machines anymore. The list is being maintained at MQ, and our lookups hit those instead.

I type a lot of crap, but just had the worst doc I think I ever had. Had 11 QA markers so I sent it to QA thinking they might actually LIKE getting some work since they are about to be history. Anyways, this bi*ch marked 2 CRITICAL ERRORS and did an audit on it (which was still 96.5% in spite of everything I am glad to say). QA you wonder why we have such a bad attitude? I spend a lot of time typing for a huge university hospital clinic with no ADT. Have to type in all patient information. Almost every report is a LETTER. Referring physician has to be typed into the ADT. Then the letter recipient information has to be typed in and lo and behold have to re-type it into the cc list for the doc to get a copy of the letter. I wonder why I can't run a decent line count? Don't you just hate it when you've got a dictation that is so fraught with static, and it sounds like the dictator is 100 miles away from the phone, but you actually can make out the words, just barely, and you'd love to leave all blanks because it's such a chore to hear any of it, but you can't, of course, because you can make it out? I have been at Nuance 4 months and don't know how I am going to go through another week there. I wish somebody would figure out a way to train new hires other than setting them down with only a few hours training and letting them type their entire shift without a word from anyone, only to have QA come in the next morning and correct all the reports.
