These companies need to be stopped and keep the medical records here in the United States where we have HIPAA rules to follow by, whereas other countries do not. See, we all knew this would happen. I bet it happens more than we know.

Crooks are totally unleashed, and I'm not even talking the MTSOs. I don't know how they steal phone numbers, but my home and cell phone ring all day long from people who usually sound like they're from India and who knows else. I've blocked the #s, chewed them out, but they continue to call. I often unplug my phone. Changing phone numbers doesn't matter. Besides, I don't want to give them the satisfaction.
Just a heads-up. Be careful out there.

[ In Reply To ..]Long story, maybe you can still find it on the net. Two incidents happened close to the same time; at the same time an MTSO higer-up was promoting offshoring and said there were "no problems."
Anyway, this was in California pre-Arnold. The CA legislature was going to pass legislation to FORBID offshoring due to these 2 incidents, but Arnie put the kibbosh on that. I do think this is why some of our CA hospitals still refuse offshoring, tho.
