Twiddling my thumbs. Usually get audited the first of the month, nuttin' yet. Now that 99% is here - has anyone been affected yet 2 days later ? Thanks -

However, I do notice that the reports that I am getting (that have horrid sound quality/bottom of the barrel dictators to begin with) keep getting worse by the minute. Of course, they will pick out the very worst report to QA.

I have worked at 9 hospitals onsite and every one of them did auditing/evaluations yearly or every other year. I recently worked for another major transcription company and they did auditing yearly or every one and one half years. This monthly auditing by MQ is a bit much. There is no need for it.

I agree with you. I think a lot of it has to do with keeping control of people who zip through things. Sometimes we can get into that because we have to have a certain line count, and we have to make a living too. The editing as often as they do it is very nerve-racking and uncalled for. Wish they had to do it and keep a perfect score. Who can? Yes indeed --- who can.

I have not figured out how or when they audit. I wish I knew so that I could get 99%. Otherwise who in the world can get 99%. My goodness gracious that is nearly a perfect score. No one...not one person can really do this without looking every single rule up, and every single dose up, etc. And if we don't get 99% ... well then what? We do not do it on purpose. We have to meet quotas. We have to pay bills. I support myself and this voice recog stuff has killed me. It is great in so many ways, but you also get paid so much less which I find so disheartening. I really wish we could get paid better. Sigh..
I haven't been audited - for over a year

Used to get one once a month with samples of all the reports audited, etc., any errors and point score. Its now been a little over a year since I had an audit of any kind. Been with the Q for 11 years and only had 1 audit the first 3 years, none the next 2 or 3, a couple the next few years, then monthly for a year and now back to nothing. I just go with the flow. Don't understand the inconsistency, but can't complain about this either! Having said that, I have a feeling with the new 99% thing, I will be getting them regularly again in the future.

We also get audited by people at our hospital (would love to know what type), but our QA section person (whatever the acronym is) has changed 5 times in the last year. They all tell you something different. MQ will just do to you whatever it wants, however it wants.
Curious about the hospital audit - CyberlandMT

Who is responsible for doing that? Wondering if we are in the same BOB. North here. Email me if you would like to talk.
fill me in... - I also heard about hospital audit

I do not believe for 1 minute that the hospital does their own audit, I believe that if an MME or MT sees something in the "report lookup" and reports that to the QA, then the CCM will say, "the hospital found this on their audit."
I am in the north also.

The largest private hospital in the US west of the Mississippi, with 2000 docs on staff, and celebrity, executive, and royal patients, does audit my work.
My CCM, with whom I worked for this same institution in 1999 as part of YOG, told us about this. I have no reason to doubt her.
I got doubly audited for 2 months. They did not score us the same way MQ did.
We may not be on the same accounts in the north... - CyberlandMT

Our QAC sends out a monthly Feedback Data list that supposedly comes from the client. Whether that is where it really comes from or not, I don't know, but I have no reason to not believe it. A friend of mine works as a supervisor in the transcription department of a major hospital and she tells me that indeed they do have someone assigned to do audits on work that has been outsourced. Not sure exactly what qualifies them for that job, if they're an MT or not. The department as a whole has been downsized due to outsourcing.

It was the most forgiving audit I've had since 1999. Email if you would like details.
anybody else work for the west division? Know it's summer, but another morning got up for my early morning shift here on the east coast and NO JOBS !!! In addition, no communiction from our yet, another, new CCM giving us a heads-up, trying to get back up accts, etc???

My supervisior from M*Modal Canada is transferring me to a department that is closer to my province. She says there is more work there. I do not have any objection to this, and I am grateful.

I have a question. Do the TCMs still have their book of business or when we run out of work on our "old" section, are we automatically switched to another section? I work night shift and I see lots of unassigned work but never seem to get any of those. Just wondering. TIA ...
Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that their line count average is sucking really bad since we got all these new accounts and then the new and improved (yeah right) software update? And now its mandatory overtime (probably because we are struggling with the new accounts). Yeah, I need the overtime just to make what I used to make without overtime. ugggg. ...
Well, I am out of work. A LOT of MT's have been getting on in the evenings and cleaning out my primary and secondary. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE until recently. Hmmm. Makes me now want to start popping on and work in the mornings. After all, I wanted to work days (not evenings) to begin with, but was forced to work evenings or look for another job. I really need to go back to school and do something else!!! Looks like this company started changing a lot ...
Nothing in our BOB, trying to help others, but work is low too. I just found out something too!!! I had a primary account for years and the account felt like family to me. Knew all the doctors. Yes, I was blessed to have this account. Then about a year ago, I was told this account was being done by their own doctors. (Cannot remember the exact name it is called). A lot of Providence Cinics and hospitals use it. When you go in for a clinic visit, a ...
looking forward to that at all. If they could ensure there would be enough work during your ENTIRE shift I would have NO problem with it. But what are we supposed to do when we get NJA. Right now, my CCM just says to keep checking back throughout the day, which I do, and then I can almost always get my hours in that way.
Can anyone already on lockdown, FT, getting NJA shed some light on how they make up the time and if it is even possible? ...
For over 6 weeks now the West Branch of M-Modal has had low work or no work and everyone is scrambling to get in what hours they need, is there anyone out there who has the true skinny on whether these jobs are being sent out to India, or what the HECK is going on? The supervisor keeps telling everyone that it is just low work, I have a hard time buying that after this long. I need to move on...... ...
Last week was horrendous. I pretty much had the week off without pay of course and hoping that I can work my hours this week at least. Never, ever had NJA situation this bad before and wondering if something is up. I have a very uneasy feeling. ...
Anyone else in West region sit and wait for months for promised new accounts that never materialized and then were told they were going to be transferred to have work only to have that not happen either? ...
The patient is in a s/l *total shell* with a headrest secondary to West Nile virus, some neuromotor dysfunction, but no acute changes.
This is mentioned in the HEENT exam on a discharge, not the reason the pt was admitted so have nothing else to go by and no other notes mention anything. He is just mumbling his way through this whole thing (new PA) and I cannot quite get what he is meaning, the "t" sound and "shell" are the only clear sounding parts, and googling with West Nile virus and h ...
CCM notes the Western power outage yesterday (approximately 5 hours) is not covered by paid down time. However, East Coast outage later in the day was a system problem and would be covered by down time. HUH ? So for power outages we either make up time or use PTO. Can this possibly be legal ?????? ...
past 6 years. This week am told mandatory to change a week day to weekend hours and still running out of work with email stating "can make up time on a specific weekend day" (saturday). Now am I one of the lucky ones they keep cutting off (NJA) SO AS to force working on weekend time slots (if you want to make up time which is your pay) which the CCM feels is the weak spots on the weekend. YET, they are hiring constantly and have not hired anyone for weekends. Am I the onl ...
just wondering if anybody else in west has been noting marked decrease in work volumes. My major acct used to have, at least on weekends, 200, 300, and even in the 400 numbers of jobs and lately the weekend work has maybe been 50 at a maximum. I guess just another acct gone to India. ...
Ours from the West has (thankfully) gone back to being another MME like the rest of us poor mortals. I found her e-mails to be bossy, snippy, condescending and picky to the point of absurdity. The frosting on the cake was the recent e-mail that said MT's are to be held at fault if the doctor makes a mistake on a lab value, med dosage, etc. Some people get a little taste of power and become unbearable. I, for one, bid her a joyful farewell because ...
