Some of these dictators make me so freaking mad. Don't they know they are messing with my income? If they do, they don't give a hoot obviously. They just think some magic is going to turn their mush-mouths into something that makes sense....

I've been doing it for a while, along with some choice words for some of them. Thought it was just me.

Back when life was good, and I planned to be an MT forever, Spheris was gearing things more and more toward high speed Internet... I only had dial-up. My poor cat learned lots of bad words ending in #*$%!* dial-up. The last few months with the Q my dog learned some bad ones, usually aimed at the terrible dictators we had to work with.....

Me, I tend to hit upload with a big word or gesture of "take that" directed towards the company. The whole FTR thing is stupid and every report that I can avoid sending to QA just means they have to pay me full price on (even though full price seems to be dwindling down to India rupees).

But sometimes it is directed at the docs who can't take a moment to take a breath during their long report or wait to finish eating before they dictate or seem to think that I really truly enjoy that beeping sound going off every 3 seconds in my ear. Then I tell them that they can have their report full of holes and deal with it.

I am always amazed when I cannot hear the dictator - no name

To both! I don't get paid enough to deal with the garbage I get - some days.

Could someone explain the reason we went from working as ICs with our own accounts to MTSOs who pay half that? Was it the cost of EMR software? If this is the case, why do we depend on MTSO's for work when we can download freeware that enables transfer of sound files and Internet transfer of files back to the doctor? Hi: I am new to Express Scribe and want to know how to upload and then resend completed files. The instructions state that the file is saved to the C drive. From there one should be able to open and tranctibe the file for resending via the program. Any help would be desparately appreciated since I have one typed document and it is ready to send. This plan was touted as easy, transparent. Where are our lines, Nuance? Some of us have mouths to feed and utilities to pay and we need to be able to decide early on if the kids go hungry or the lights get shut off. I know you can't imagine this, but it's real for many of us. Why the delay in uploading lines? I personally know someone who works as a middle manager for Nuance, makes well over 50,000 and has had constant raises since being hired.
