I really seriously cannot stand when the work volumes are low, having to bounce around from account to account, in and out of our own BOB. It is hard enough trying to juggle the multiple number of accounts and all of their demands in the profiles, but having to go into another BOB is just plain ridiculous.

I made next to no money today, spent more time reading the 4 page profiles after each report because only twice in 5 hours did I have the same hospital.

Didn't Amy say she was going to fix this? COME ON... Next thing ya know, I am going to be fired for not meeting minimum wage like that other poor girl today. This is their fault, not mine. I should be paid training pay for having to do new accounts all day.

Honestly, how can anyone like this?

The ones that are lucky enough to like it have been no doubt - on the same accounts for a while (sm)

I started with them this year and I've had to learn multiple accounts and two of them seem like they are opposite specs, so I printed out the specs and have to refer to them constantly since they are both new and opposite. Also, work is low while they get some MTs shifted over into other regions due to the restructuring.

I do agree with you though about getting some training pay for new accounts. I think they should give us a chance to learn new specs.

The other thing that I'm having a hard time with right now especially being new are the added e-mails stating specifics for specific dictators that are not included in the regular spec sheets. I feel overwhelmed again as if I had just started with this company and I have over 20 years of MT experience with several different platforms.

I'm hanging in there though because pay is not what it used to be for ICs, so this is a good place to be at this point in my opinion.

Note to MM, if it isn't in the CP, forget it

I recently got an very long email with a bunch of instructions that are not in the CP. It was so long that I quit bothering to read it.

Add to this is the difficulty finding what you need in the CP because of the lack of standardized format.

This doctor wants this, this doctor wont sign this, they want things this way even though there is nothing in the CP, the CP is so long I forget what I read before Im halfway through it. If I get a report from one of these docs that had a special email sent, I think it would take 1/2 hour just to find that email.

This is absolutely crazy. If some of these accounts are so bad, they should not have people bouncing into them. Just assign workers to each facility and leave them there without bouncing around so they get to know the account.

What is so hard for them to understand?

They just don't get it, they send out these long detailed emails about account specs and yet they don't add the info to the CP. My job is hard enough with so many accounts, but to go back and check emails? No way! CCM and QC have been like this for a long time, it doesn't change, CPs not updated or standardized. Just do the best you can.

Not meeting production either. Too many intricate tricky CPs, and heaven help you if you miss something.

Add to that, they keep telling you to change your shift/ hours if there isn't enough work. And then people move to my shift, I now no longer have work and get told that maybe I should change my hours to a time there is work!! Work availability has become a moving target. I want to yell, " get out of my shift!" To those people trying to follow possible work.

That is why I rarely will make up the work. - I hate it when I have none...

So I refuse to do the same to others. The only time I work out of my shift is if there is mandatory overtime. Then I save that money for the low times.

our team now has over 150 MTs and the BOB now has 70+ accounts. No one can possibly know 70+ accounts and be perfect following CPs. What is wrong with the management of this company! Bunch of idiots for sure!

Has there ever been a union for transcriptionists? I have never heard of one, but have often wondered if that would be beneficial. I mean if the people want it..why not. Seriously how do you mark me for not putting a comma in when I have a QA marker preceeding it..Obviously I missed a word, the dictator rots, sorry..So instead of adding all that extra crap in..If you had just stuck to what I put, I may have learned something..Instead, my mind is going in 90 directions and I marked it as read and moved on..Waste of my time.
