I feel like such a failure with this job - soul crushing

I'm new to fluency and I can't seem to get off of 100% QA. every time i think I did good on a job I get feedback where I have done something wrong. I have been doing this 12 years and don't understand why I can't get it right. Sorry i'm just venting.

How long have you been using it? - Just takes a little time...

You'll get there in the end.

If you are new to MM you should have a guaranteed rate for some weeks, so take advantage of this time! Don't worry about your LC so much, and be nice, slow, and deliberate, with each report. Double check your client profile and the MM style guide before uploading.

Just my two pence. I really like Fluency. Too bad about the crappy ASR, but it keeps us in business.

Try not to worry too much. I think you have 6 weeks, if I recall, for your guaranteed training rate. The whole purpose of this period is to get up to speed and standard!

I can't remember how long I was on 100% (2, 3, weeks, a month???).

As a newby I would take full advantage of this time, because you should get tons and tons of QA feedback to help you out.

Oh, that makes a difference. Sorry. - Fluency will get easier eventually.

I guess if you were used to a previous platform and had used it a long time, had muscle memory on the keyboard shortcuts, etc., that kind of puts you at a disadvantage to learn a new one. One week training pay not really enough in my opinion. Sorry mate. You'll get there eventually.

Please don't feel like a failure. It is not you, it is this company. I am also still fairly new to Fluency, been on a few months now. I had to learn a whole new platform and new accounts. About a week after I got out of traning and off 100 QA, I got an email saying that I was not meeting my line requirements and I had to "step it up." They didn't take into consideration I was on a new platform and all new accounts. It bothered me at first, but then I just decided to not let it bother me. I know I'm a good MT and I refuse to let them make me think i'm not!

The platform itself is by far my favorite of all the companies I worked for. The company, however, stinks and most of the problems stem from them and not the program. Believe it or not, you will catch on. Take your time and use your shortcuts

You are experiencing the fact that QA has no specific guidelines and you are getting everyone's opinions and qwirks. I thought I was failing because of all this crazy input. When I talked to my TSM, she thought I was doing great. She had also forgotten to take me off QA. Ask you TSM how much longer you will be on QA in case she forgot.

We do have guidelines: The DQS Guidelines and the Transcription Style Guide. If you are receiving discrepancies in QA feedback you should notify your supervisor so she can notify the QA team member if they're giving incorrect feedback. Thanks!

The platform I was on we were to type every single thing verbatim. So when i came over to fluency that was an adjustment. I was told not to expand certain procedures in the assessment. I used abbreviations. Then I got it back from QA corrected to the way I had been doing it originally. I talked to my quality control and who knows what good that did. I'm still getting everything both ways (cranial nerves corrected to using Arabic AND roman numerals). it's maddening. If we are held to such a high standard why aren't they?

I was told that kidney disease is now done in arabic numbers,,when I did that they changed to roman numerals, when I did it that way, I had it changed to arabic. Can anyone tell me which way is correct pls.

Per the TSG, page 23, we're supposed to use Arabic for CKD grades 1 through 4. I hope this helps.

Sorry... I certainly didn't mean to upset you further. Per the MModal TSG, page 18, we're supposed to use Arabic numerals for cranial nerves. Some clients still insist on using Roman though and those clients have to have that stated in the client profile so I'd use Arabic unless the CP states otherwise. If an MME is changing something like this, she should be citing the reason why in the explanation column. Sorry if I caused you further stress. My intention was completely the opposite.

it's just the whole crazy chasing my tail thing here. Our client profiles don't say one way or the other about these numbers so one would assume it's Arabic.

Anywho thanks for showing me where it is in the guide, you have been most helpful :)

She is taking diclofenac and we realize that while this can ____________ some renal failure, has been absolutely necessary thus far to control her pain. She is having no abdominal pain. being so micromanaged?
