Got email from CCM talking about "schedule reservation"... - Kiki

I'm in West. She says only SW area has been using it but there are problems that need to be worked out first. Is what she is talking about the lockdown?

Anyone in SW who actually thinks things got better AFTER the lockdown, as far as staying in your own BOB? My CCM literally swears that this will happen once the lockdown takes place. ?????

I SOOOO wish that I could get OUT of my BOB. I despise the accounts I have now. My income is down 40% since I was so kindly awarded them. When I requested a change to a diff division, I got an "I'll see what I can do" over a month ago, but no change since. Add that to the unreturned phone calls and e-mails to her about other matters...and lets just say I'm feeling out in the cold and ready for a big change.

Lockdown has been in place for a lot of areas for a long time. Supposedly this means people assigned to other accounts will not work in your BOB. This was after all the hullaballo about the "cesspool." Now we have all the hullaballo about "NJA."

Lockout means that after all their studying of workload, TATs, and calculating how many people are needed for each shift, you will NOT be able to work any but your scheduled time. They say this prevents people from "poaching" on the jobs available to you when you are scheduled to work and they are not.

So, with lockdown AND lockout, you have the privilege of getting NJA instead of the cesspool (let's face it, if there's no work, they cannot manufacture if for you) along with no opportunity to make up your time outside of your schedule.

Instead of being between a rock and a hard place, we are between a rock and an abyss.

Received email stating that they were going over all accounts and seeing which ones ran out of work and which ones had too much work and were going to be asking MLS possibly to rearrange their schedule so that they would have work and not run out and that all accounts would be covered equally???? Long winded email. Telling us to make sure we kept to our schedule and didn't work when we weren't supposed to and no flexing unless we had their approval ...

I am really surprised that there is no one talking about DIT. I know that I am not the only one that got the shaft from them. The owners last excuse for not paying me for work completed was that he just found out that he was losing his eyesight!. Again, I fell for it hook, line and sinker. anyone else tired of being talking down to by their QC, so sick of it, they act like we are babies and they are the only ones with knowledge. The hopeful folks....did you forget we have not even started with the new guidelines by which our work will be audited at a yet unspecified date? Note, these are non-MT jobs. I have been applying to jobs that pay per "audio talking minute." These are all basically customer service jobs which might include a little tech help and also might include some upselling. Anyone have a take on this? After I quit MT, I SWORE I would never do any job that was not hourly or otherwise a guaranteed amount per paycheck. Has anyone done this type of work? I have been transcribing for 11 years and everytime I get a fasting talking dictator with an accent, it slows me down so much that it affects my production. This company got a huge account that we as MTs cleaned up their late reports at a rate of 9 cpl (1,000 to 2,000 or more) as they put them in our system. Not a bad line rate, right? Dictation was bad, sound quality sucked, and on and on. Now that they are dictating into our system daily, the "contract has been renegotiated" and if we still want to type for the account we are getting 7.5 cpl. What a damned ripoff!!
