When you're pulling reports to audit, how long is too long?
Not an auditor, but I was audtied on a report - sm

that was 38 minutes of total dictation. Audits are supposed to be done on random reports, so I really don't think anything is too long.
We do not choose by length of report - What comes is what we get
Hi, I have a question about how high creatinine can go. I have someone who was in a car accident in critical condition. The doctor says his creatinine is decreasing to 132. Is that even possible? I think I will flag it anyway, but I am curious about how high it can go. ...
73 freakin' lines because of the way the dictator did. Very slow, lots of stopping and dead air, repeating himself. In fact, he dictated the Impression 5 times and would say correction and start over. He even had the nerve to laugh and snicker and said "to start over again".
Wish I could reach through the computer, down all lines to wherever the **** this jerk is and rip his tonsils out by hand without anesthesia. ARG. Glad I'm done! And he is a ESL ...
I checked the accelerate silence playback box in options. Underneath the box is a scale of 5 seconds to 30 seconds (minimum silence length) - what does this mean? What is the best setting to go with the accelerated silence playback - am confused. Thanks. ...
is this the correct way to type 1/2-inch leg length discrepancy?
She has a 1/2-inch leg length discrepancy with the right leg being shorter than the left.

Can all IC and empolyee MT's weigh in on this. Is the average line figured on 65 characters? Does anyone charge the "old" way where a line is a line, regardless of how many characters it has? Thanks in advance! ...
I was just wondering if there were any auditors who actually came to this board who could divulge a little information. I'm an auditor, but I was wondering just how knit-picky or in-depth is everyone else when they audit a job? It seems like I keep correcting the same thing over and over and over and over again and it's getting sickening and it's mostly just really small stuff that shouldn't even matter, like adding or omitting "a" or "the."
******I WISH FOR TRUTHFUL ...
With what I know now about how much MTs can actually get away with as far as errors and quality, I now wish I had stayed as MT and just stopped working so damn hard at it.
It seems like auditors have to work much harder and get things even more perfect while the MTs still keep making the same mistakes over and over again and nothing comes of it. A lot of the errors I have to mark don't really matter at all and are extremely subjective, so isn't it kind of pointless to keep wastin ...
QA gets audited too and let me tell you, they give no Mercy. We have an auditor initial RH who is just out for the kill. FIESA is so stressful even for QA/QC. I cannot stand the stress anymore and am definitely seeking other employment as fast as I can. ...
Got a minor error (-0.25) for typing. "The patient has no complaints." The auditor felt that she heard "The patient has no complaint" without the S. Well that'll certainly compromises patient care. Good thing she caught that and dinged me for it. Sure, it's only a minor error, but that could very well be the error that pushes me over 99.5 one day. It's this kind of stuff that reduces employee morale and makes them hate working here. This is getting ridiculous. ...
Couple of questions for any past/present auditors:
1. How long were you with MM before you moved to the auditing department?
2. Were you actively seeking the move or were you offered it out of the blue?
3. Are you making more or less than you were on production?
4. Do you focus on a certain number of accounts similar to HDS/SHDAs or are you required to cover whatever comes across your desk at any given time?
Thanks! ...
Just wondering if anybody had been audited by the new audit process yet? My CCM says they are being done by an auditing team now and have since May. Could you still tell you were being audited by looking in feedback and were the reports current or old? Thanks. ...
GD SOB!
Have been passing all the audits with flying colors (99% or better), even the audit earlier this week. but then I got an email today of a report with critical errors. Real bad doctor who mumbles and changes his mind in midsentence but doesn't say 'scratch that' or 'correction' or anything like that. sheesh.
so do they automatically put you on disciplinary action or cut your pay for one bad report? or do i hope that on my next ...

Hello,
Can anyone who works for MModal tell me what the hiring process is like? I applied and was invited to test. I completed the test last week. How long can I expect to wait for my results? I think I did well. Please, no rude comments. Thanks. ...
So, how long from hired to fully working does it take? I'm going on 2 weeks now, but with the thread that was posted below, I'm wondering if I made the right decision. Any info appreciated. ...
This is a pulmonary file. The doc is talking about a CT scan. He says, "Recurrent pneumonia. Reviewing the CT scans, this is very suggestive of _____s/l morfan anulitis process" _____ than an infective pneumonia. ...
I was just hired by Nuance and have received hiring paper work. Looks like I will not even start working until maybe end of April. It seems that everything here takes forever. But at least we have a job here, for whatever it is worth.
So what if you are really depending on this income to pay your bills? Then what??? I guess these big companies are not too worried about that huh??? ...
How exactly does it work. Do we log into our reg accounts and they log in to so they can watch us work and tell us easier ways to do our job or how exactly do they do it? ...
Just an FYI. I applied for a QA Editor position, which pays a paltry 2 cpl. I figured it would be a little extra money in pocket. Got a call from a gal who wanted me to test. Ok, I said. We scheduled it and another gal sent me an email with instructions to call in and enter a code along with instructions to read. I read the instructions, called the number, entered the code. Got the gal on the line and she walked me through downloading the files, which any boob could do. So, I figured ...
I have gotten to where if I apply for a job and it refers me right over to the testing process, I don't even take the test, I just back out of the application and don't bother. I know I lose jobs, due to this, but that process is too irritating to me. If I apply for a job and I receive a reply stating that they are interested in me and would like for me to test, THEN I don't mind testing. I just cannot see randomly taking a test, typing 7 or 8 reports these days ...
I completed the application process and the online testing about 4 weeks ago and, while the transcription test was very challenging, I felt I did well. I know there's probably no point in sending an email to ask about the "status" of my application and test because they are quite capable of contacting me if they wanted to. Do they bother to contact applicants that didn't pass the test? (an email I'd hate to get, but at least there would be closure)
I've read the ...
Can anyone shed some light ont heir hiring process. I took their online test, I think, last week and have not heard whether I passed or failed. If I failed, will they let me know- Thanks!!! ...
So I graduated in February and began the job hunt. Finally I receive one call back from a local company. To date I have attended two seperate interviews. The second time I was supposed to test but the computer was not working so a couple of weeks later they schedule testing at one of the transcriptionist house. I test and the computer freezes up. Luckily the test is recovered the next day and sent to the boss for review. Get another call today, and am told that ...
