Anyone else with this problem? Ctl Shift - (number pad) increases font size? - rebooted

There was a Windows 7 update prior to noticing this, so I don't know if it is from the update or a new DQS problem. Ctl Shift - (number pad) is doing 2 things at once, changing sound tone (what it is supposed to do) and changing font size. Tried rebooting, but no change.

No, but my font becomes minute when I try to add a bullet point in a list. It drives me nuts! I called Support and they just wanted to keep making me reboot, like I hadn't tried that. I finally hung up and just cringe when I need to indent in a numbered list.

I successfully fixed the problem myself. Not going to call the dummies at IT. - here is how to fix

Do a system restore to an earlier date. Since this happened after the most current Windows update, back up several days before that.
How to:
Click control panel.
Click category (right corner of screen) and change to large icon - this makes it easier to see what you want.
Click on Recovery.
Click open system restore.
Click choose a different restore point.
Click show more restore points.
Choose a date from last week.
Then click to start. It will give you a warning, click to continue if you need to. It will take a few minutes and will restart itself.

Did you update to Internet Explorer 10? - That is the problem. sm

I would never advise calling "support" since they won't be able to help you. I put in a Remedy ticket and one of the American IT people called me and set me back to one of the older versions of Internet Explorer - 8 I think, and that fixed the problem. I really don't want to sound rude, but this has just been my own personal experience -- I've had to call support I think twice since they changed it over to mostly Indian IT people, and they were completely clueless. If they're having you reboot for a problem like this, oh my goodness, that is just another example of what I'm talking about.

Windows update did that. IE10 certainly causes a lot of problems with MM software. - Get with the program IT! nm

I had the exact same problem! My MModal computer automatically updated my Internet Explorer to 10. Support removed 10 and I had no further problems.

Working in Enterprise. My account just switched to Epic and the font size is very tiny. I've noticed that in the task bar right above where we enter the transcription that there are two buttons to click on, one for font and one for size. When clicking on them, different selections are offered (i.e., font size #s 1 through approximately 8) but nothing happens when I click on a # to try to make a change. Any ideas? Just curious about this as the new increases in some states are more than what a lot of MTs make hourly, i.e. Seattle, Washington, $15.00 an hour. This won't affect me personally, but I wonder how MTSOs will be handling this situation. If an employee is paid on production but is an employee and not an IC, if she lives in Washington or another state where minimum wage is higher than what she is producing, how does an MTSO handle this? ...

I know we are to drop the zero after a decimal when doing lab values, i.e. "hemoglobin was seven point zero" is just written as "hemoglobin was 7", but do you drop the zero after sizes, i.e. "Taxus three point O by twelve mm drug-eluting stent" - is that written 3.0 x 12-mm or 3 x 12-mm? I never can get this straight...any input would be helpful. Thank you!!! :) ...

The actual viewing portion of my screen is only about 9-1/2 high and 12-1/2 inches wide ... the old thick chunky-type monitor.
