There is an alarming increase in complaints regarding moderation on MTStars boards recently, but please remember: moderators are people too. They sometimes make mistakes and/or have temporary lapses in judgement. Just because they were harsh with you once or made a bad decision that you disagree with doesn't mean that they're bad moderators, that they'll hold a grudge against you, or even that they'll make the same decision a second time.
To make moderation more transparent, we have decided to implement peer-based moderation on our boards. It will allow moderators to take action on ONLY those threads where number of dislikes are greater than number of likes*. Please remember that it doesn’t mean that every message where number of dislikes are greater than likes is subject to moderation, but if a moderator wants to take action on a selective post, he/she has to follow the community’s verdict in the first place.
Peer-based moderation will limit the power of moderators, but at the same time places the greatest responsibility with the community of users. So, before implementing it, we would like you to share your thoughts on this by hitting like/dislike button below.
Thanks,
MTStars Team.
