What are some perks about working as IC status ?

I'm really new at working for an MTSO, having had our entire dept outsourced to Nuance in 12/2011. Worked for Nuance for a year and made NO MONEY (they sent all the good stuff to India) and now I have the opportunity to work for a company that pays by the minute (1.06/1.26). I log in and try and click on the "SHOP NOW" button and it gives me an error message that the site has been blocked.
