What's the deal with this site slow or not loading - MT

I feel like we are on dial up again. This is going on a week now. Eventually I will give up. Anybody else having a really hard time loading this.

Sure am, it takes forever and some boards won't load at all - Using Google Chrome but

Everything else on the world-wide web is loading just fine and quickly. Must be something wonky with the site. Hope they get it straightened out soon.

I thought it was my computer, but it must be the MT Stars server or something. Very aggravating.

You'd think they'd be extra motivated to get it fixed. - Fewer hits = less $$ to them. nm

Every time we change from one message to another, "this choices.truste.com" goes through the LENGTHY process of filtering ads most likely to get you to buy. It has also been called spyware, and a trojan (Google search it). That is the problem. Should be as easy to quit using it than it was to start using it.

They need to fix the advertisement problem or risk losing posters via less traffic. It is as simple as that. The only time I ever click on any of the ads is by accident. It is slow on all boards AFAIK. It is not a browser issue, IMO. Site loads fairly quickly when using cell phone that blocks most advertisements.

I believe it's solely a Stars board techmical issue period - anon s/m

I have no problem any of the aforementioned quesses on any other site but here.

Just needs some maintenance, like anything else.

I have been waiting for about 10 minutes now for DQS to load this one job and it doesn't show another one listed. This has happened before but I usually just wait it out for a few minutes. This is taking FOREVER to load with message it is loading "general.mtstars.com. When this finally loads and I select a message it shows it is loading "choices.truste.com". What is that?? Have I got some spyware or is this happening to others? ...

I notice some mentioned Verizon down below. Also noticed a post about Comcast a few days ago about having issues. Downloading the reports are too slow this morning. Had issues last night too. Even have issues getting into MQCentral and trying to email support. Also slow getting into MTStars and other websites. The green bar below, when getting on a website, displays almost a full green bar, but seems to get stuck right at the end. Anyone else having issues ...

Thought I would try some of you tecchies out there before hasseling with whatever (if any) tech support DocQscribe has. I am trying to download DQS on my spiffy new machine and getting message "write params failed!" Any idea how to fix this? Okay, guess I will show how dumb I am. I am an MT in a in-house office for a urologist. he dictates, I listen and transcribe. i get on here and read everyone fussing about VR. I get that VR is voice recognition...but what is your job? If you are an MT, you have VR, I realize it gets it wrong sometimes but what do you do? Read it to make sure VR gets it right and then make the changes? Just wondering. Any reply appreciated. Thanks! ...

A little over a month ago my old PC finally crashed after 10 good years. I replaced it and had to put antivirus on it (of course). I ended up taking my son to the ER and can't afford insurance, so I ended up paying out of pocket for his antibiotics. (Sad that the antibiotics cost less than a month of insurance for the two of us.) My antivirus expires the day before I get my check. Are there any safe alternatives for one day until I get paid? ...
