Loading DocQscribe on Vista - CA MT

Can someone please instruct me on how to load DQS on Vista? Thanks!

I need to load it on my laptop that is Vista. Sorry you couldn't get a helpful answer.

I recently loaded DocQScribe on my Vista PC - Worker Bee

Tech support helped me to load it. It was very easy. I had problems with being randomly kicked out of the program while I was working - it was horrible! Tech Support could not help me because they do not support Vista. However, my son fixed it.

He explained that what happens with Vista is that it has kind of a "sleep mode" or "idle" mode. If you leave your computer on and aren't using it, it goes into this sleep mode; however, Vista has trouble "waking up" and that's what caused it to kick me out of the program. He disabled the sleep mode (I can ask him how he did it when he comes home from work). He also instructed me that when I log on to DocQScribe instead of left clicking on the icon, you right click and click on "Run as Administrator." Since I've been doing that, I have no problems with Vista. Hope this helps.

On page 59-60 of the DocQscribe 5.13 End-User Course it tells you how to download onto a system using Vista. Hope this helps!

Thought I would try some of you tecchies out there before hasseling with whatever (if any) tech support DocQscribe has. I am trying to download DQS on my spiffy new machine and getting message "write params failed!" Any idea how to fix this? Hello! I have an Acer desktop that is a vista. My old computer was an XP, and I still have the hard drive that I removed from it before I gave it away. Is it possible that I can remove the Vista hard drive from my present computer and replace it with the XP hard drive from my previous computer? (I don't remember the name of my previous computer). Have a new system and for whatever reason cannot get things to minimize to the usual place, the bar at the bottom of the page (I give up, what do you call it?). If I bring Google up and want to minimize that and keep, cannot do because if I go back to Google the same material still there. I have installed it and it works just fine until the point of creating invoice and it will not add up my words, lines, or anything. I have selected different ways just playing around and cannot get it to calculate. It produces the invoice just fine but with no actual calculations. I'm wondering because posting says now compatible with Windows 7/64 systems, but actual information on job info page for the application says 32 bit systems only but that is as of Feb. Anyone know for sure? I have 8 GB of memory and only Vista 64 and Windows 7 can utilize higher than 4 GB of memory. The 32 bit systems can only utilize a max of 4 GB of memory. Makes a huge difference. TIA! ...
