With 12+ years in the business, 10 of which has been at home, working for at least 6 outsourcing companies..... I can say, for lack of a better expression, that the MT industry is seriously going to the dogs... changing each day, yes, but not for the better.... They expect you to work with zero training, not even a phone call to familiarize you with the system or account(s). They pay by the line for training, which we all know there is a huge learning curve, so you basically make almost nothing for a period of weeks or even months while 'learning". How many people with no secondary incomes can do this? They expect you to be at their beck and call constantly.. thinking and assuming, as well as expecting that you are sitting there at the computer 24/7 waiting for work or an email from them, or at least 18/7! They treat MTs like numbers, not like real people.... like robotic fingers, making all their money, while they order us around like mini-tyrants, while they are paid by salary and are comfortable. ......Most do not offer any benefits and expect you to supply all of your own equipment... all so we can sit at home and twiddle our thumbs, and be treated like zero's and wait for work. Somehow this does not make sense to me. Am I the only one who has a problem with this picture?
