Anyone buy the EZ Eyes keyboard? - Seriously want it

Posted: Feb 29, 2012

I really want to give it a try.  I am just so hooked on my old keyboard.  I know it is not expensive, so I might do it anyway.  Looks cool.

I'd never heard of this keyboard but I am SO getting one - Especially w/mouse and "buy 1, get 1"

I love trying new keyboards and what with the strain on my eyes from the screen and my regular keyboard (of which half the letters are rubbing off), this looks completely awesome. And for this price, if it turns out to be junk, at least I didn't break the proverbial bank to try it.

Thanks for posting, otherwise I'd never heard about this.

did you see its waterproof and glows in dark? - amazing

[ In Reply To ..]
I hope it works well.... I love how big the letters are! I am so excited.

I did! I had my husband come over and ooh and awe with me - LOL!

I quickly figured I could get two keyboards and two mouses (mice?) for around $35 with shipping and handling. I have a lot of problems with the "F" keys and this looks like it could potentially save me quite a bit of time over a shift; the less time we have to spend looking around to read keys, the more we can produce and I'm always up for increasing productivity, lol!

I hope it's as awesome as it looks but, at that price, I think it's definitely worth taking a chance on!

Can you post after you try it? - dying to know

[ In Reply To ..]
I know its not much, but I really cannot spare a dime. Please post and let us know how you like it.

I definitely will (sm) - Cant wait to try it

I think I'm going to go ahead and order it Friday. If it saves some wear and tear on my poor overworked peepers, it's worth every penny, that's for sure.

Thanks, OP, for starting this thread. Even though it says "As Seen on TV," I've never seen a commercial for it, so I'd never have found it on my own.

I think I'm way too excited about this keyboard. Maybe I need to get out more, LOL!

Illuminated keyboard - LeeLee

I did not get the EZ Eyes, but got one from Best Buy that is illuminated. I LOVE IT. It will auto adjust to the light in the area you are working. You can also manually adjust the light. The letters are not so much bigger size-wise, but being backlit, I did not need them to be. Letters are also laser cut, which means they will not wear off the keyboard (like all my other keyboards with no letters..LOL). I wish I had gotten this months ago. Mine is also wireless, but you can charge it directly off of your desk top or laptop with cord provided, or leave it plugged in.

Yes, I have one and I LOVE IT!!! - Zville MT

The keys are nice and big and when I have to look at the keyboard, I don't have to squint. It's definitly worth the money! I didn't get the glow in the dark one, but I didn't know about that one when I ordered it - not sure that would be practical, but it would be totally cool :)

Im going to call before I order it (sm) - To make sure its GITD

[ In Reply To ..]
I really want the glow-in-the-dark version, and it *looks* like that's standard but I'm going to call their customer service department before I order to make sure I'm ordering the right one.

How's the touch on the keyboard? Is it more of a soft touch or a clacker? Have you found it to be pretty durable?

Can't wait to get mine!

It's kind of a clacker, but not as loud as some of the other generic keyboards. - Zville MT

[ In Reply To ..]
It's definitly not a soft touch, but it's not annoyingly loud. I've only had it about a month - it took forever to get here! It's held up pretty good so far (and I'm pretty rough on keyboards - LOL).

Definitely check to make sure it's the glow in the dark if that's what you want. The one I got is the *standard* and it's not - wish I had known about that beforehand :( I think you'll really like it, though - been a long time since I got so worked up about a keyboard! Maybe like another poster said, I should get out more :)

How is the touch sensitivity on that keyboard -- just saw it advertised yesterday for the first time -- very interested

keyboard - me

[ In Reply To ..]
how's the touch of it? I always used the clicky keyboards and bought one similar to this one and it was way too sticky feeling for me. We ordered them but it will be a few weeks they said.

Looks pretty good, but... - Hmmm

[ In Reply To ..]
They keep saying that it's an ergonomic keyboard, yet I see standard design.

Other than that (and the fact that I HATE yellow) it looks pretty good! And with the 2-for-1 special at that price, you really can't go wrong.

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard - wired - Ultra

[ In Reply To ..]
I have been using the Logitech illuminated keyboard since 10/2011.

First drawback - it's wired (and I loved my wireless keyboard).

Second drawback - I've about worn out the spacebar already.

Love that you can change the brightness. It's fast. It's q-u-i-e-t. It also has very nice key response (for me).

Don't think the $80 has been wasted. Sure do love the illuminated keys (I wore the letters off my wireless keyboard ages ago).

EZ Eyes Keyboard
Mar 26, 2012

I type many hours a day several days a week and usually use the old clicky keyboards but thought I'd give this one a try.  Don't waste your money.  It's smaller than a standard keyboard with big letters on the keys and it's so light it moves constantly. You nearly need to velcro it down.  The touch is hard, makes your hands very tired and the backspace is in an odd position to you constantly hit the wrong key or have to stretch your pinky out a couple of inches ...

EZ Eyes Keyboard - WARNING
Mar 19, 2012

I went to order my EZ Eyes keyboard (the one with the yellow keys and BIG lettering for those of us who are eye-fatigued and visually challenged), and by a stroke of luck happened upon a website full of probably HUNDREDS of complaints.  Apparently, credit/debit cards are being charged in some cases TRIPLE what the amount should be.  While I really, REALLY wanted that keyboard, I didn't want to risk my debit card being hammered for 2 to 3 times the actual amount, so I decided to c ...

Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro...need A New Keyboard, Any Recommendations?

Microsoft has discontinued these great keyboards and I need a new one.  Anybody aware of a split keyboard that has a really nice touch (remember those old IBM keyboards?) for transcription work by Microsoft or another brand that you really like? I'm open for suggestions please ; 0  My only complaint with this one is the keys are a bit clunky to press down (especially the space bar).  Thanks! ...

This White Screen In DQS7 Is Killing Me. Eyes Hurt, Headache.
Oct 19, 2012

In DQS6, where the screen color was determined by what you set Windows colors, I had a nice pale green which is very easy on the eyes. And what's up with the dark grey highlight for SR!? Harder to see the black text underneath. Shesh, these changes from DQS6 where definitely made by people who do not have to look at a computer screen all day. I will never forget the day I was looking for a specific keyboard and the computer salesmen did not comprehend why I was so picky. They had ...

Best Keyboard

Need New Keyboard

Hello all, I am in need of a new keyboard.  I am using a Goldtouch now but the keyboard configuration does not really work for me, specifically the cntl, alt, and windows keys, as well as the home key.  I hit the wrong keys frequently, too much, and it hurts my production.  I do like the "touch" of it though.  I would like something that feels the same, a little bit spongy but not sticky.  Any suggestions.  TIA. ...
