That followed them over here stirring the pot. Forming their own private Facebook was a good idea. Now they can support each other without the attacks and negativity. I'm sure the program is stressful enough as it is, they don't need the extra drama of MT stars.

And the pages of posts from the person who argues and debates with herself. It must really stink to miss all that excitement. I bet if you ask some of the MModal group about their Facebook group real nice they'll let you join their page so you can watch it all unfold over there.

I'm getting that some of the Coders on this board aren't employed right now. All that time to hang around a message board? I always heard that Coders stayed so busy during the day they barely had time to breathe. It makes me wonder why there are so many Coders or Coders-in-training that have *all that time* to just hang around on a message board and wait for MModal trainees to post. Are Coders really that bored?

I think it's so odd how many posts on this board are about the M*Modal people not posting here anymore.

Here's a novel concept ... if you're tired of the inactivity here, why not post some tips and ideas that will help keep new Coding students focused? How about some ideas about creative places to apply for jobs besides hospitals? How about posting some interesting USEFUL posts that could actually HELP someone instead of pining away about the M*Modal students not coming around anymore?

I'm sure if someone sparked a really really interesting conversation about Coding, the rest will follow. I have a feeling that if you really dig deep you can come up with something engaging to say. Aaaaand, who knows, maybe you'll be so distracted being useful, helpful and informative that before you know it you won't even miss the M*Modal students anymore because you'll be too busy discussing something relevant.

MT'ers transcription may not be dead after all. I had an interview with a local hospital that has many clinics and outside services. They have had all of their transcription outsourced aside from various departments in the actual hospital. However, they have discovered a better quality of work if they keep their work onsite. They are pulling ALL of their services back to using on-site transcriptionists. Some at home work after training, but there will be no MTS ...

The problem with making money with ASR is, I swear my fingers are moving just as much, but all over the board, not how we all learned to go fast, fingers on the home keys and move from there. My hands are trying to fly all over....arrow keys, end, ctrl/shift/arrow to highlight, over to delete, try to find my way back, only to move off home keys to arrow some more. Why is it that MTs (especially the ones who are starting out) have the opportunity to transcribe dictated reports from doctors that sound half dead, like they are using their last breath to dictate a report? It's amazing to me when QA tells me that they can make out everything these doctors say. What do the more seasoned MTs think about this? ...

How on earth do they expect any MLS to care about any of these reports if they aren't going to pay us a decent wage? I hope the stock crashes. Down below when I was trying to figure out if the reason I got laid off was because I was PT (CCM told me all PT were being laid off) or that I was in California (I thought maybe this was the case).....I realize that neither of these are true.
