TTD, checks - Just Me

Have you received your check from TTD which was apparently mailed Tuesday? I am weary of the stress of waiting for my checks. I know, I know, lots of warning about this company but I try to give ppl the benefit of the doubt. Thanks.

I still have not gotten the check from her from August 25th and she won't respond to me emails asking where my checks are. I am owed 2 checks total and will not do any more work for her ever again.

I worked for them for a short time. Granted, my checks were not large because my work with them was so short, but I did receive the 2nd check owed me on Saturday. I hope the rest of you do too.

I am glad you got your check. It makes me hopeful that I will get mine too. I am kinda down today, unable to work, unable to trust them. I liked the work.

What I don't understand is if someone says - me

they don't pay, pay late, etc. why would you give them the benefit of the doubt. That would certainly be enough for me to stay away. That doesn't even figure in the incredibly low pay, the inconsistency of work flow, and all the other issues I have seen posted for them.

I don't know about you, but I work because I have to. With what little they pay, if they pay, I could probably make more money picking up cans on the side of the road for recycling.

In my case, I worked for them for well over a year. The work was steady enough and my checks were always on time and correct. Starting in August, it all went to hell. No checks, no work, excuse after excuse, etc. I am still trying to get paid for my work done in July now. Up to this point, I was one of the lucky ones and had no problem with this company. I considered myself lucky. Now, I just want the pay they owe me.

I was the same way. I did not have any problems with this company until recently and she still owes me 2 checks. I am sending a letter certified mail to her to pay up or I will be having an attorney contact her for the money.

I finally cut ties with the Q after being returning to work for them and finding them not to be the company they once were or the pay was not the same. After careful consideration and finding another position, I resigned. Awaiting my pay out from my PTO and being told it would be deposited today, nada. Anyone have any idea about this? Will this be sent as a final check or did I get the royal kick in the you know where and will not see that PTO payout. Thanks Q. ...

Does anyone know if companies typically call your former employers for background checks? I have jumped around a lot in the last several years for various reasons, and still looking for the right fit, but have applied to 10 different companies in 2 weeks and have only heard from 2. I'm wondering if my resume and recent work history is the problem. I'm an MT of 8 years, so lack fo experience is not the problem. Maybe it's the time of year? If I don't find something soon, ...

Just received a "paper check" from MTSO before DD kicks in. I checked the name of the bank, never heard of it, did a website search and apparently, it was a bank that was absorbed by Wachovia which in turn, was absorbed by Wells Fargo.
