. . . so we'll see. I don't particularly like that they give you a choice of set shifts, even as an IC, which is what I want, because I have to juggle my work with another job as a travel agent. However, I HAVE to have at least 1000 lines a day to keep me going between commissions. I usually work in the evenings and early in the morning and I have no problem with TAT. I don't need to be babysat and held to a set schedule, since I have been doing this for 20 years, so if they are willing to trust me to get the work back I'm willing to try. I have never typed into a platform before, so hopefully they give you a little time for the learning curve on that.

Did you take the test? I started the acute care and then lost it, so went back in and took the one for clinic notes. I thought it was a bit much!

I did take the test for doing clinic notes, and I haven't heard back yet. I took it around dinnertime last night. I'll let you know when or if I hear!

I have never worked as an IC and been told I have to choose a schedule and stick to a schedule. Either they are employee status or not, can't have their cake and eat it too. If I work as an IC I am not commiting to a schedule, that is not how it works, boy these companies just think they can get away with anything they want to lolol. According to DOL if they dictate your work schedule or anything else about your CONTRACT work, you are an employee AND you can file for unemployment when they let you go because it has been done before. When it comes to IC versus employee status, there is a very, very fine line between IC and employee and when somebody files unemployment on them, they figure it out how it is supposed to work real quick. People you need to contact your DOL and ask questions, talk is cheap and it does not cost you anything to find out what is legal and what is not legal. I am looking for work in a clinic or hospital, this "work from home" for these MTSOs is totally ridiculous, let them hiring proofreaders at less then minimum wage. This industry is not what it used to be and the MTSOs are burning their bridges because MTs are getting out while the gettin is good.

They're supposed to send transcription test today. It's been a few wks since I applied so forget what ad said. Found some posts in archives and somewhat concerned. One said they use "tests" to get actual work done, hired but never heard from again, another said scam (from 2006), pay 7.5 cents for 17 yrs of exp with clunky platform, and so on. But also looks like there are few different companies with same name. Already make over 7.5 cents so not interested in doing their test if that&# ...

I applied for a Behavioral Transcription position with Q.E.D transcription. I took all of the exams, including the Clinic and Behavioral transcription exams. I received aa 83.50 on the clinical exam and a 93.00 on the behavioral exam. However, I received an e-mail from Q.E.D stating that I did not pass the exams. Recently started with Axolotl (now part of United Health Group). I have 18 years experience and the account they put me on has to be THE WORST I have ever experienced, 99.9% horrible ESL's, on top of which their M*Modal platform is very, very slow. I have worked at other companies using M*Modal and did not find this to be the case with them.
