it had been stated that the lawyers involved were accepting other transcriptionists who believe they had been wronged also, as well as OTHER COMPANIES who were practicing the same type of procedures,with "documentation" of course. I don't believe that list has been updated to the public.

Class Action MT lawsuits - Alice

I was told to contact the lawyers if I want to file a lawsuit against my company, which is NOT Transcend. So, there is just a little confusion here in that other companies are being added, but each company will be named in a separate lawsuit by itself if enough persons interested in suuing that particular company contact the lawyers.

That they would take on other companies separately. This could turn in to being a big deal if these guys are good with labor law as I have known bulldog lawyers in other areas of law that are extremely good and actually do care about their clients. Sure they make money, as they should, because these kind of attorneys totally live and breathe their cases almost to the exclusion of everything else. Will be interesting. I was wondering too what is going on at this point in the process, not seen much further about it. Can someone keep us informed? I am wondering if people have been instructed not to talk about it.

The plaintiffs heard from the attorney last week. Transcend is given a certain number of days to respond. Per the attorney:

It was filed and is pending before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Chicago). The Complaint was served on Transcend on May 23, 2012. Transcend has 21 days to respond to the Complaint by filing a responsive pleading or asking the court for more time to respond. Since the filing of the Complaint on May 11, 2012, 12 additional MT plaintiffs have opted-into the lawsuit, bringing the total to 25 employees who have consented to join the lawsuit. Our office is continuing to field new inquiries every day, so this number will undoubtedly continue to grow.

This lawsuit will take time. We appreciate your continued patience. It is a complicated, time-consuming process.

Oh won't this be fun of another kind called J-U-S-T-I-C-E. Keep your documentation. Yes we are the 99% as they like to say. There is power in numbers and 99% is a big number for sure.

Nothing will progress if we just wait to hear more about these pending lawsuits. It is up to each individual to take the initiative and get involved.

If you are interested in joining the lawsuit for any of these companies, the next step is to contact the lawyers and ask if there is a lawsuit in the works for the company that applies to you OR if they are interested in adding a lawsuit for your specific company. If so, they will send you paperwork to fill out and send back. This is what I already did, and it was not Transcend. It was explained to me in writing that it will never cost me any out-of-pocket $$$ to do this, as the lawyers are paid on a contingency basis.

But, the lawyers are not able to advertise for you to contact them. It is up to each individual to contact the lawyers himself/herself.

Don't count your chickens. I had great documentation, as did the other plaintiffs in the MQ lawsuit, and somehow the judge dismissed the whole thing.......

definitely not! Contact me if you want to discuss the documentation outside of the settlement, of course, in that case. Am willing to speak to any of the plaintiffs in that case apart from the settlement, which I assume is confidential. Got time, inclination?

Has anyone through Transtech into the suit yet? I'm calling tomorrow to try to do so. I have 2 timesheets for every week; MY copy and THEIR COPY that got turned in. I encourage everyone to do the same and get it documented if you are facing an MTSO doing this. The one time I decided to see what they would do if I went below minimum, I got let go. I got paid minimum but had no job left.

Fighting Nuance would be just the same as the current Transcend Lawsuit. For those who are not involved, the latest news did not look good. MM ASR stinks royally!!!!! This neurology consultation is so full of made-up output, I just might F11 it (oh goody, I will then get to hear from the QAM). It has added so much 'canned text' and text that matches other information in the report that it is sickening. I can't wait until I am out of here!!! I graduate from paralegal school next Wednesday, and I sure hope I can get a job fast. Hopefully, someone will hire a newbie. Fingers crossed. ...

I was never this depressed when I worked for Transcend. Now, with the hounding e-mail, do this, don't do that, rule change, etc. Oh, and I better not forget about Webclock, Fiesa, etc. They have it all planned out to cover their ass.
