Transcend gift card! - strawberry

I received a beautiful Christmas card in the mail and inside was a VISA card from Transcend wishing me a Merry Christmas and the card even says "thank you" on it! I wasn't expecting that. I've only been with them a little over a month! I'm even more impressed with them now. I got a calendar last year from my previous employer. That was nice, but this is even better. Did anyone else receive one? I sure hope so! yay!

I have gotten a gift card in the Christmas card for the past 3 years from Transcend, but this year just the card, trying to figure out if I did anything different this year, lol

I have been working for Transcend for quite a while. I have never gotten a gift card, nor have they ever sent me a thank you note. What accounts are you working on? Who is your Platform coordinator? This is certainly not the Transcend I know!! BooHoo for me!!

I shouldn't have said anything. I just assumed that everybody got one and we could cheer together. :(

Maybe I got one because I'm new and they want to keep me there? Or maybe it's because I started on BeyondTXT and will be on Encore soon and had to learn two platforms within weeks of each other. I don't know really. I just figured they gave them out to everyone :( Sorry guys. Maybe you will get one soon! Please post back here if you do so I don't feel so bad!

I have heard before of people not getting one here or there but for three years now I have always gotten a gift card. I got mine today in fact and last year I got it on the 21st I think whoever stuffs the envelopes must must some or something of that nature. I am very appreciative of it as I have received big giant boxes of candy from another company which I never ate, nothing from some, etc so the gift card for me is great. I have been searching for a new purse for months and I finally found one so tomorrow I shall add my money along with my gift care and Merry Christmas to me for a new purse. I am sorry for anyone who did not get one but I do not think it was intentionally done. :( Oh and this is coming from a radiology MT who has had her rough spots with Transcend believe me and right now I have a great Team Lead and back up Team Lead and that makes all the difference!

Not to worry...mine must be "in the mail". I work 3 different platforms for Transcend on more than 6 hospitals. I have an excellent QA score, never call off, work OT every time it is offered....gotta wonder how they decide who gets what. Might be like those raises they never give the MTs, but pass out to others. Now you got me wondering what the deal is!! You are FT, right?

I'm sorry, I'm trying to figure out how to post on this board. I've only been posting on it a couple of months when I came here during the Q buyout of etrans and I was scared. I didn't see your question before. Yes, I work full-time for Transcend now. I just started with them the first part of November. I'm with two regions right now, cause my primary acct is with Encore and it's a big hospital and won't go live until Jan. Right now, I'm typing in BeyondTXT for what will be my secondary acct when the new acct goes live. I hope that isn't confusing :P

I have been with Transcend for nearly 3 months, have 25 plus experience and am on BeyondTXT. I swear I have the "worst of the worst" MDs to transcribe from. I have a primary and 2 secondary accounts but am running out of work quite often. I have asked for another (easier) account more than twice now and they keep telling me it will get better... I am asking myself, will it? I cannot even make my quota when there is no work and then they send emails to everyone at least 2-3 times a day asking everyone to "hop on" and get those lines you need" usually on my shift from 3 to 11 PM.

I am very frustrated to say the least. I know 3 people on different regions that tell me they NEVER run out of work and surpass my line count by a lot!!! Of course they would when they don't have to do mumble mouth and whispering MDs all the time, I send to QA (as none of my accounts allow even ONE BLANK) and I surely hope I am not penalized for that. Please tell me how you got another region. I have asked my team lead but maybe I should go higher. Thank you!!

I hired in for an acct with Encore which was supposed to start the first of December and they let me go ahead and start working for them and trained me on BeyondTXT with another acct first. My primary acct was supposed to go live on December 3rd, but then was pushed back to December 13th and now it will be January, so I'm still on the other acct. It just puts me in two regions right now because I'm waiting for my primary to go live. Once it goes live then I will be with that region only and I guess a secondary acct will be given to me from that region.

I've been working with Transcend for years and always got one. I have been trained on over a dozen accounts and always work extra and on weekends when they ask. I have never turned down a request. My card this year was empty and I know this sounds bad, but I was VERY hurt that after all I have been through with this company (being incredibly flexible with disappearing accounts and very fluctuating schedules) I wouldn't even get a gift card.

Truly, I'm happy for you since so many people can really use a few extra bucks these days, particularly at the holidays.

I'm curious, though...Is my memory failing me or did Transcend do this random gifting last year, too, or was that another company? I seem to recall one MTSO that, with no apparent rhyme or reason, gave some MTs gift cards, some just holiday cards, and others nothing at all.

The incident stands out in my mind, but since it's been a year, I'm having difficulty being certain if it was Transcend who did this or another MTSO.

Anyway, congrats on your "windfall" - It's wonderful to feel appreciated :-)

I do not think you should feel bad at all. Hooray for company that gives gifts. I do believe everyone will get a card. This is a big company and lots of cards to send and mistakes can easily be made, but if you ask them they will make it up to them. If you look on their webpage they even show pictures of staff signing cards.

Don't worry about it strawberry. You are not the deciding who gets these cards :)..or are you...LOL. I was just wondering if it had more to do with the platform manager. We may never find out why. last year, same thing. Some got it, some didn't, and a week or more later, some that thought they were missed got theirs. Maybe only for FT people, but if FT and one not received, it sure wouldn't hurt to inquire. Orig Poster should not feel bad though, as I do think the nice things about a company should be shared along with the negatives.

I have to admit, I am a little bit disgusted that a company would only send gift cards to random employees. I worked part time for them and always got one, but not this year, despite working harder than ever AND being told I am consistently the highest producer in my region. Will I work overtime when asked in the future? Doubt it.

I got a Christmas card in the mail and was pleasantly surprised to get that! I haven't gotten a gift card, though, but the week is still young. Hey, maybe they got mailed separately. I won't absolutely expect on, though, so if I do get one, it will be a nice surprise.

My $13 prepaid Discover card came in the mail as thanks for not slitting my wrists while training on a new platform. It came with a whole sheet of paper listing the dozens of different places I can spend it at. There isn't a single store on the list I use LOL. I tried to use my giftcard today and it was refused. It was give by transcend, a visa giftcard, and it was refused when i tried to use it. I didn't see anything that came with it saying it had to be authorized or anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have an authorization number i can call to authorize my card? Suggestions? So, for MT week, I was one of the finalists for the MT of the year contest. I made it to the final round, thus getting a 100.00 gift card from MModal. Well, on my last check stub under the deductions is a category called "taxable prizes" and listed under that is my 100.00 gift card. I'm trying to activate the gift card I got from IMEDX for Christmas. I threw away the documentation that came with it that apparently had the "activation code". I called customer service and they stated the only hint they could give was it was the last four digits of my employee ID number. I got my MLS weak (pun intended) gift. Actually, I kind of like it. I do keep a note pad on my desk and jot things down while I work...not always work related, but hey! It seems more useful than the leather mousepad I got from Spheris years ago. I would have prefered a cash bonus or some free PTO, but they probably got a deal on the thousands of these gifts that they ordered and the actual cost to them was minimal. Weak effort to make me feel appreciated. I still feel underpaid! ...
