TTS hiring again? - What is goiing on with this company?

I want to work a part time job to supplement my other part time job at Nuance because sometimes there is no work. I see an opening at TTS but when reviewing posts about TTS it sounds like a bad place to work with incompetent recruiters and managers. It seems 95% of the posts are bad regarding TTS. I am leery about working for a company that keeps advertising for help, especially if it isn't a large one like Nuance or MQ.

Is this a good company where there is work or is it a badly managed company that overstaffs and MTs are micromanaged.?

From all the archives as well as my personal experience in dealing with them and response to my posts from other MTs the management and recruiter are incompetent and people are micromanaged to the hilt. Got a job offer from them, they could not even get the paperwork out to me. Tried to followup on this but they said they sent out the paperwork to the wrong address and would resend. Never heard a thing. If this represents how they are to deal with maybe I (and you) are better off not working for these people. Now they are advertising every day in 2 places. What is up with thay. Read the archives. Most of it is bad.

Think the recuiter is too incompetent to hire people and management is even more incompetent at keeping them. I was told to UN not walk away from this company. Heard the top dog was a nightmare to deal with.

Stay away. Been there, done that. They tell me they don't hire people part-time, but after working there, I found out there were part-time people. Also, even if you are IC, you better stick 100% to your schedule or they will be all over you. Pay is really low!

I did receive an offer from TTS which I emphatically declined. They wanted me to work on a clinic account, but either work third shift or noon to 9:00 with one weekend day. Does that even make sense? Pay was not good either. We, as MTs, need to take a stand and not accept these hours/pay rates. I am happily employed elsewhere now.

keep a low profile, very low, lest ye grab the attention of the "one." There is also another "one" which is best avoided at all costs. Pay is low. But there are some very nice folks there, too... about like most other companies. Be subservient and apologetic at all times and don't seem too intelligent lest ye.. you know.

Other than that, it's a great place to work.

You could not have said it better. That is exactly what you have to do, especially the part about not appearing too intelligent. Do not incur the wrath of the two mentioned above or else they will haunt you, harass you, and keep you under a microscope until you can't take it anymore and quit.

I work there and I agree with others. Definitely the best advice is so stay under the radar. Stick to your schedule 100% even if you are IC. Flexibility is not even a consideration.

also, I don't ask a question twice anymore if I don't get a response the first time. Last time that happened, the big dog got her hands on it and sent me a copy of an e-mail she'd sent to some poor soul, telling them to help me with my "problem." Her e-mails make about half-sense. Lord, I'd hate to work in the same office with that woman!

They are so snotty to everyone. You get information after the fact. Trainers teach you nothing and are snobby. Very poor management, demanding and not good to work for.

WTF is going on? I am no longer an MT, but I still care about a lot of people who are still TRYING to work at the Q. Just popped over to mtjobs and the Q has an ad on there for MTs wishing to embark on a world class....etc. It's unacceptable that the Q doesn't let anyone know what is going on at the MT level, starve out all the experienced ones they "acquired," then offshore to Inida and hire a bunch of newbies. Are any decent MTSOs actually hiring ICs... and I mean IC in the traditional meaning of the word; not locked into some arbitrary schedule design, but a daily line committment. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get..... That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs. And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job. ...

The ad they have placed here indicates wanting 40 people for new accounts, etc. However, I just received an email about job openings for only 2 very heavy ESL 1-9 shifts. Is this just a scam so that employers don't have to pay benefits and employer taxes? I bet if there was an audit, most ICs and MTSOs would be in trouble for using that classification improperly, especially for the full-time positions. I see ads for Medtrans all over the internet for all different cities and you go to their website and it seems they are pushing you to take their course and then they will hire you. I am just confused because I keep seeing the companies advertise for months, yet they seem to say "no" a lot. I have 12 yrs experience in acute care, radiology, and clinic, and it's amazing to me how for some reason it seems impossible to pass these tests. Is it just me? ...

I am surprised to see the job ad for TransTech on the Job Board here...I thought they didn't have enough work. There are two ads actually, one for acute care, the other for oncology. Does anyone out there work on the oncology account and is there enough work. What is their cpl rate for someone who has 12 years experience in oncology. Also, what platform do they use? They only hire for 2nd shift and that is to do the leftover, picked-through work from 1st shift. There is no way to make good money going this, though they give you a month to get up to 135 lph, which at 8.5 cpl is a whopping 11.48/hour.
