Synernet and micromanaging - MT48

Any feedback here on recent emails? My 2 cents about this... Just wanted to add to the e mail: "If in bathroom for 16 minutes make sure to bring cell phone in and call helpdesk to notify. Anything less would be unacceptable."

PS: To management: Micromanaging the peon does not make a disorganized management team better, it just makes it feel more poweful. Perhaps a better idea would be to address the disorganization from top down; fix the system; and last but not least, put steps in place to increase morale in order to support the legs which hold you up. Success would then and only then follow.

If we make our quotas or above it shouldn't be an issue if we take more than one d*mn break. My feet swell if it don't take frequent breaks and this sweatshop attitude of these companies has to stop!

I had a chance to work there and I'm so glad it didn't go through. It sounds like things there just keep getting worse all the time.

I've worked for a lot of doozy companies in my 15 years as an MT, but Synernet was, by far, the absolute worst company I've ever worked for in my entire life. I only lasted there for about 6 months, which was my shortest stay at any employer ever. I just couldn't handle the constant micromanaging and slave driving. I ended up quitting right after I got a phone call from the "help desk" demanding to know where I was when I hadn't even been away from my desk for 5 minutes to take a quick stretch break and to use the bathroom, even though I had been working for nearly 4 straight hours without taking one single break. That was the last straw for me and I gave my resignation the very next day. I worked for Nuance before Synernet and even THEY weren't that bad! I'm so glad I got out of there. It sounds like things haven't changed a bit since I left.

I get my required lines in really fast. then, I slow down the rest of the day b/c I am tired or need a break, need a snack, etc. I already got my lines in. Audit feedback T'ing me off, sorry. I fail to see how adding or leaving out "a" and "the" should be anywhere near a major category, downgrade or not. Absolutely none of the "errors" I am being dinged for have any effect on patient care. I have an interview with them coming up. They seem like they have a good reputation and the benefits look really good. One thing I am wondering about them is just how flexible are the schedules? For example, right now I am able to work a regular 2nd shift position with no problem (I currently work 2nd shift and prefer it to other shifts), but when school starts my kids will have sports and Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and I have to take them to their meetings. First the dire email: Mandatory OT by end of week with at least 2 hours on Saturday. Just forget if you had plans for the weekend. Say what time you will be working and have to work those hours and put who okay'd those hours on your timesheet (you might lie you know). So you do that because you want to help the company out and it's nice to have OT again. I am applying for a job with Synernet and will be testing tomorrow. Can anyone tell me approximately how many lines I'd need to type a day to make... lets say 80-85 dollars a day? Anyone out there working for Synernet who has also worked for other companies? I was an IC before joining Synernet a few years ago. They are paying me .7 cpl, no flexibility unless per-diem and then per-diems still have to work 2 holidays a year, lots of vaca time but can't use 2 weeks in the summer until I've been there 10 years, management impossible to get response from regarding any type of question, just got thrown into weekend rotation, etc. After looking at boards I see th ...

Just curious, I'm trying to decide between a few companies and I totally forgot to ask the interviewer. I think the whole VBC thing is criminal. It's bad enough not being paid for all of the research, demographics and CCs we do, but to not pay for characters that we actually type just because they don't print out in black and white is OUTRAGEOUS!!! ...
